The second they started jumping off walls and doing that "free running" nonsense that's all the craze in France, it killed the movie instantly.
Ok I get it, you guys like jumping rooftop to rooftop and hanging onto things, have fun with that. Makeup was bad too. This wishes it was a zombie movie IMO.
It's just another free running spectacle as far as I saw though.
1/5 for totally killing the zombie mood. Zombies are not Jackie Chans.

I was pleasantly surprised. The type of humor used was hilarious. I thought this was pretty good for a low budget film. For zombie movie fans I would definitely recommend this one.

it was an ok zombie movie. if you really watch it for what it really is it is hilarious. nothing like what the overly religious people and what they would do during a zombie outbreak. nothing funnier than christians, gays, and zombies

I really hope I save someone from wasting an hour and half of their life like I did. Here goes.
Dire acting but not the worst I've ever seen. There, that's the good points out of the way.
Now the bad points: amateur directing, mediocre acting and script and plot that I could have written when I was seven years old, (bad even for a low budget zombie movie). Amateur makeup and special effects and neither scary nor funny. Not even funny in a 'so bad it's funny' sort of way.
Unfortunately for me when I start watching a movie I sit and watch it to the end no matter how bad it is because I always hope it will redeem itself at the end with a moment of sheer brilliance. I've had this happen and it has completely changed my view on what would otherwise have been a terrible movie. It doesn't happen here. The ending of this movie is even worse than the rest of the movie.
Janette Armand is a darling and almost certainly has a career in movies ahead of her (if casting can overlook this humungous blip) because she not only has the looks but has a screen presence lacking in all the other actors here.
I've seen some people give this movie favourable reviews. I can only surmise that they are either connected to the movie or I should be poppin' the same pills they're poppin', coz' life on their side of the glass must be so much rosier.
I love zombie films but this is without doubt the worst zombie film I ever saw. If it had been scary, funny or had a good ending I could have forgiven it but it has no redeeming features. I'm sure plenty of people will disagree with me because everyone has different tastes but all I can say is I've watched dozens of zombie movies and this comes out bottom for me.

A small town with typical American problems faces Zombies.
Original?
No!
But..
I started to watch this movie with low expectations and was surprised that it managed to put a crooked smile on my face.
The jokes were corny, the cliche gay guy couple were stereotypical with stereotypical problems and the zombies were.. zombie-ish?
Regardless - I felt I got my moneys worth - FREE!

Yeah, no one is getting an Oscar for this but I have definitely seen worse. Personally, I don't click on a movie called "Zombies of Mass Destruction" expecting to see a cinematic masterpiece. It was fun, entertaining, and had some hilarious one liners in it -- exactly what I was looking for! 4/5

I can honestly say this movie was poorly made. It seemed as if they just got some people off of the road and gave them a script and let them act right after. The beginning of this movie wasn't promsiing at all. The quality was alright, no dark atmosphere at all. The Zombies, Blood and Gore were the de-fault of this film as well. Blood looked like coke mixed with pop-rocks with little bit of rabbies foam "maybe it was mentos and coke LoL!" but in all honesty. Not much horror, not much scare and not much of a story but Zombies on this Town and eating people. Although, the town did look lovely. Otherwise, this movie really did suck. 1/5 for the effort. None the less, don't watch unless you want to see poor no thought-out movie, so to speak.

I'm always willing to give a zombie movie a fair chance. ZMD was an okay movie, I wouldn't watch it again anytime soon though. Overall I give it a 3/5 stars rating.

After Dark Horrorfest at it's best. This is so far one of the better ones from the latest batch. This has the dark humor as well as the traditional slow moving zombies instead of the recent influx of fast moving "zombies on crack". Really funny film and of course full of the usual over the top gore. This is what the horror fest is about giving starting directors a chance to reach the audiences.

I usually like zombie movies, no matter how bad they usually are. But this movie doesn't even match up towards B grade zombie movies.
Bad acting through and through, lame effects, I just really don't have anything positive to say about it. Sorry.
A whopping 1 out of 10 on this end.
