Battle: Los Angeles is the kind of film that I look forward in watching and enjoying as the hype is so good,however when the film starts runs and finishes I think to myself 2Darn it that should have been so much better!

Just another war movie, but with aliens.
The idea that any race which has the technology to reach us in such numbers then only has the capability to come at us with (admittedly hi-tech) machine guns and in armour susceptible to bullets when they get here is ludicrous.

Pretty run of the mill in terms of acting.
It's quite entertaining and it's definitely worth a watch but it's just another Skyline or Independence Day.
Decent special effects and enough action to keep you watching but you know you have seen it all before.
A popcorn movie. Nothing more.

I Saw this movie March 17 2011:
Starting out this is nothing like Skyline well both are shooters but actually that has more character back story then this here they introduce the characters in first 10 minutes and an hour and 40 mins of hiding and shooting with some other really minor and hardly essential characters introduced along the way. All in all if you like gun play you will love this if you look for a heavy story movie this is not your piece of cake.

This movie wasn't bad in my opinion.
"formulaic war movie" Just like paq said in his comment
I enjoy those type of movies that have that "hero", "do or "die and machismo bravado, if it's done well.
Michelle Rodriguez is one of my favorite actors, but it seems like she's almost fallen a victim of typecasting. I like her in those roles anyways.

This is really a formulaic war movie except the enemy is not of this earth. Even tho they're aliens who have mastered interstellar space travel, they're still no match for the warrior-like, fast moving, fast thinking, earthlings, as they lumber around like clones of Bill & Ben: The Flowerpot Men!
Just take it for what it is, a great war movie, and sit back and enjoy as the earthlings, once again, kick ET's butt, 8/10!

I usually tend to stay away from pg-13 movies cause they just don't seem to deliver. Now..don't get me wrong here but does anyone else think this could have been better with an R rating? I mean just imagine if district 9 was pg-13; what a train wreck that would have been.
Overall this was a fun movie although it just seems like i've seen this type of story a dozen times.

Back From The Theaters

I just got back from the theater watching this movie on the big screen and I have to say: WOW. Absolutely fantastic of a movie! There were a few bumps on the big screen could of been omitted as it didn't fit the theme, but it was greatly directed! Excellent cast with some parts of the movie that may bring drama to the table!
Those who go to watch this movie, I do hope you enjoy(ed) it as much as I did!
