I thought it was very cliche, predictable and boring dialogue. I love Woody Allen but this is nothing compared to manhatten, match point, annie hall, hannah and her sisters etc etc.. so many great films. He probably just went to Barcelona and thought he would make a "light" movie to celebrate the city :/ not impulsive, intelligent, deep og energetic like his movies ususally are.
So if this is the first Woody film you see, dont think its a typical one for him
And whats up with the narrative voice-over? not working at all :(
I don't understand the negative comments about this movie. I thought it was one of the best of the year. Great actors, great story, Spain is fabulous, unexpected moments..but definitely shouldn't be classified as a comedy.
Cruz was amazing. typical, interesting Woody Allen. i would've liked more subtitiles. worth the watch if you like twisted, travel, relationship stories. Rebecca Hall as Vicky, does a great job too!
not a comedy, more of a drama. it took me longer to warm up to this movie, the narrative was a different form of movie watching experience that took some patience to get used to.. i really like this movie. it is a realistic interpretation of a polyamorous relationship and non fairy tale like realistic outcomes of love. great film , excellent and original story line.
very good movie. though it lacked so much more story. the narrator spoke and pulled me away from the movie. almost like breaking my concentration on being 'in' the movie. anyways.. definitely a good movie
Now I must say something why its 50/50 on the votes, if you have been to Barcelona your already going to enjoy this! People who have not visited Spain wont really get the characters or how beautifull it is Barca is a very artsy town (got to see it to belive it) Its a Very Nice film, Ive been to Barca and Madrid, Spain has to be the most beautifull country and Woody Allen definetly grasped it, Very enjoyable and funny, not laugh out loud funny but a pleasant and watchable funny. Fabulous movie and will bring a smile to whomever endears to watch it 9/10
cruz was excellent. if someone would have choked the vicki character it would have been perfect. she was so annoying! otherwise a very good movie. check it out you'll be glad you did! good acting
yeah it's kinda good, but not GREAT like how the critics were giving it praise. it's just there, and a comedy?? yeah, right!! i dont remember laughing or even giggling through the entire movie. I will tell you, my eyes weren't glued to screen through out this movie, but i guess as u all say, ''it's worth a watch''!! 2.5/5
it has a good story line, but i hate the story line
Good movie. Good acting. Sad tale of those who don't know what they're looking for in life and love. It should be watchable and enjoyale for those who like the actors in the film.
