The notorious monster hunter is sent to Transylvania to stop Count Dracula who is using Dr. Frankenstein's research and a werewolf for some sinister purpose.
The action was good, but whole movie is overwhelmed but the over the top use of CGI fx's. The proof that Hollywood has come to rely on CGI far to much. Look at "Avatar", monster CGI's and other fx's, but also a monster good SCRIPT!! Rainy day movie at best! I'll pass!!
This is the best film I've seen lately- not because of any dramatic impact that it carries, but simply because it is a fun, well-designed, monster flick. Understand that you can't go into a movie featuring Frankenstein's Monster and expect Shakespeare. The plot is admittedly thin, and the Universal Monsters have been around for so long that they've become somewhat unimpressive, but the director has done a very good job of minimizing these factors to create a visually and emotionally appealing film.
good movie. Great SFX and very amusing. In the early Dracula novels Van Helsing was Dracula's doctor, or something to that effect. Interesting interpretation.
Aside from the ever screaming brides - a 4 out of 5.
mindless action, terrible accent acting, horrible storyline, nothing but a bunch of overblown nonsense with eye candy to keep you watching so you don't realize how lame the script is I do like Hugh but this film was for easily amused hand puppets and teenagers who drool over Kate, I mean, Dracula, Frankenstien, AND the Wolfman? The Monster Squad did that in the 80's already, and compared to this film The Monster Squad deserves a Golden Globe. 2/10 for Hugh and Kate.
Pretty good movie. Great story line. The only thing that was missing was a mummy. Perhaps they could use him if they ever try and make a sequel, but honestly I hope they don't.
Really nice movie. Action, fantastic and a bit of romance. A movie can't go wrong, when u see hugh jackman ripping off is shirt(for the women) and make the men stand in awe.
But missed a little something, so 4/5. Worth a watch.
