Responding to a rental ad, good looking engineer Ward Weaver (Luke Perry) arrives at the impressive Michigan estate of the young and beautiful pianist Grace Stearn (Kelly Harrison). She is living by herself, coping with the aftermath of an accident that left her blind and in financial strains. Trying to make ends meet Grace sporadically teaches piano lessons to 10 year old Emily and rents out the upstairs quarters to Weaver. Little does she know about this Ward Weaver, who turns out to be not what she expected. Weaver plays his sinister games with Grace, who’s trapped in her own house.
Nope not emmy material but still a good one time watch. Built up suspense pretty well and kept me interested so it did something right.
The brothers return towards the end and his situation tossed another level into it which added to it
The acting was average, I think the actress playing grace would have done well to study some real blind people. I spent quite a few years around a blind friend and his friends and found her movement to be more how sighted people imagine blind people to move & act. Most people probably wouldn't notice that though. The little girl could use a few more acting lessons, she wasn't bad, just not good. And Luke Perry, thought he played it pretty well, only thing I knew him from was 90210 which I hated, (all those beautiful people, yuk!) Think he plays a roughneck better, he grew up nicely too! The cops were strange, what kind of accent was that? Where was this supposed to take place? Sounded almost like a french accent from both of them so maybe Canada? Doesn't matter, just thought it was weird.
The story as others have said is predictable but what in hollywood isn't these days? Formula for a thriller, bad things happen to good people, good people triumph in the end. So yeah predictable, but I predicted it would be :) 3.5/5
unbelievably stupid terrible and unconvincing. I just sort of skipped through it to see if it got any better.. only worse and more unconvincing. Can't believe they spent money to produce and shoot that!
I dont see how anyone who likes thrillers woulnt love this. It gave me goosebumps. I had a tenant close to that and let me tell you,if i was blind too??Oh god I cant imagine the horror.. Luke Perry wasExcellent in this!
Nothing special, worth the watch completely though if you have nothing better to do. However, if you think you might like this kind of story line but more suspenseful and with a better cast try the film Wait Until Dark. For the time, that was a GOOD film!
the casting was wrong luke perry couldnt pull off a convincing badguy and the blind girl seemed too dumb the directing could have used close ups to really make this a thriller.what do you expect for low budget i guess.i could have done better i would of added a twist like make the blind girl a serial killer with her drugged wine ,why not? instead of acting dumb she'll be the angel all the way.i thank this site for letting me watch it here.i would of been so dissapointed in paying for this.
