I liked this movie. It was psychologically stimulating, which in my opinion is one of the best types of movies. Very good acting, the only qualm I have is that the movie felt kind of unfinished. It kind of hit peak and ended there. I want to know what else happens to Clooney's character. Maybe I missed something, and would appreciate anyone explaining what they were aiming at at the end of the movie. Anyway, other than that, I love it.
It does make you think if you are not a family person, why aren't you? For a movie to make you think of your life choices, it has to be a good one. Thank you to the website for allowing us to view and then review these films. This is an extremely good movie, I am surprised that it took me this long to see it!! I guess I didn't want to hear the message yet@ I rate this movie at a 5/5. tops
The only thing I was wondering during this whole movie was when it was going to end. I literally felt like clawing my eyes out by the end of the movie. It has been quite awhile since a movie has been so boring to me. It gets such high praise too.. What a let down. I would never recommend this to anyone. 1/10
George Clooney seems to have an unerring ability to spot a good role. I don't know if it is the sway he holds in Hollywood or just a talent for knowing from a script what will make a quality movie, but he is rarely wrong.
This is an extremely good film about a man who is on a journey of discovery without realising, although whether it leads to his salvation is open to interpretation. Although at one point appearing to be ticking some of the usual Hollywood boxes it surprises the viewer and has a more real life edge to it than is at first comprehended. Duplicity is found in unforeseen places and perceived wisdom is often unexpectedly wide of the mark leading to a far more unique tale than I was expecting. Alternately uplifting and then sad, this is no chick flick but just a great story. I guess a moral would be to be careful what you wish for.
One complaint, although a small one

I think they should have done more with his pep talk to his future brother in law. Merely saying 'life needs a co pilot' wasn't really believable as a life affirming speech which instantly changed his mind. That could have been the best scene of the film, as he finds he is addressing and convincing himself more than the groom, but I feel they wasted it somewhat.

This is a movie that is very much of our times and it does break stereotypes.
Maybe we just go through stages of life where first we think we are invincible- we dont need commitment and that we can do anything we want, then (perhaps this is what we call maturity) something clicks and we realize we do long for a home to belong to??
it started off well, i liked the way the film was going but after 2 thirds of the way through it got a bit boring, there are much better romantic cdramas around imo and there was almost no comedy, just one or 2 smiles.
Hmm :-/ What was the point? He finally found someone that made him want to change his life.. someone that made his life worth living.. and then he found out the truth about her.. how depressing!
I didnt mind this movie at all..It was quite good..Im a big clooney fan n he didnt let me down..You kinda get emotionaly envolved in this film..Realy made me feel bad for Ryan by the end of the movie..
Not really a Clooney fan. Movie seemed way too long, but I could have been way too tired. 3 out of 5. I fell asleep for part of it. It wasn't horrible. Wasn't great.
Ryan Bingham,(george clooney) is a corporate downsizing expert whose cherished life on the road is threatened just as he is on the cusp of reaching ten million frequent flyer miles and just after he's met the frequent-traveler woman of his dreams.
ahh..i couldnt watch the rest of it..i heard it was a really good movie so i gave it a try but 77 minutes into it it seemed like 2 hours! and it just got drawn out and boring..someone tell me how it ended? not like its not predictable anyway
This is a very existential film so it's hard to watch at times and deals a lot with realty and mortality which can be pretty hard for many people, especially those who have experienced the things in the film. I thought this was superbly well made, written, directed, but the best of course, the acting. This is a very dramatic/comedy that deals with each actor being the forefront. This could even be a play on Broadway. It left me not knowing what to think of the main character, which was a good thing, and settled the subplots mostly.

I'm only not sure how Clooney found out where Farmiga lived. Did she tell him at some point? If so, why would she do that?
I didn't expect the movie to be this good.. I liked it. Made me appreciate what I have in life. Made me think about many things.. The movie was a little slow to load, but other than that, no complaints!! :)
