By tying thousands of balloon to his home, 78-year-old Carl Fredricksen sets out to fulfill his lifelong dream to see the wilds of South America. Right after lifting off, however, he learns he isn't alone on his journey, since Russell, a wilderness explorer 70 years his junior, has inadvertently become a stowaway on the trip.
Pixar has done it again. Their genius in animated movies is amazing, and UP is no exception. It is a great movie with a great plot, Mr. Fredrickson is a perfect character. Thorough history brief at the beginning of the movie to explain his life, that sets the fun tone for the movie. I give it 5/5.
Such a beautiful well-written film about a guy who found a girl who is alike him who has interests in the same guy/activites. They soon become more and he made her a promise when they were kids and first met that he had to take her to a special place where she wanted to live. It then soons becomes lonely for him, and he then makes a adventure with a kid he barely knows and dislikes, then soon bond with some animals, A Dog and bird of some sort. They all are in danger of a crazed old man as well, as they try to survive and try to go to the special place they have alot coming for them. It was awesomely beautiful. Sad, funny and it was adventurious for our imagination even as teens or adults. Worth a watch. Fun for the whole family. I rate this film a 10/10. It didn't move too slow nor too quickly. It did explain everything very well. The plot and storyline was great and believable "in a cartoon way lol". Must watch if you already haven't.
Realy enjoyed this movie alot more than i expected and very touching on the emotioness side aswell which i found impressive, very funny and a brilliant movie all together 5/5
I'm shocked that i loved this movie. I never watch animated films but these characters beat out any human actors i've seen this year for sure. The first 11 minutes had me hooked. I just had to know what the old guy would do with himself after that.
Man o man, what a movie, the first 15 min brought tears in my eyes, wish i ll have such a sweet wife and life.. lolzz.. i rewound it again and again and again, just 15 mins and it tells you so much about life, love the direction and the story, and really sweet humors , it brings all the emotions out of you, i give it 20/10.. besides the comments above says it all, but i gotta express my satisfaction.. besides i think they can't bring such emotions out of a human , so they thought to go for animation, well thats my perspective..
I really enjoyed this movie, it's great. I watched it expecting to cry after what other people had said, but I didn't. I don't know why everyone else was? It wasn't that sad.
