This was a movie that pushed its limits from start to end. It was a bit more graphic than I expected but it was necessary to the overall message of this film. Great headlining actors and one of the more powerful films I have seen. It is very compelling and will definitely keep you focused as it rarely lets up. I'm not going to give this film a rating since I can't even watch it like a normal movie. All I will say is that you need a bit of a stomach to make it through this one and if you do make it through I can pretty much assure you that you will feel the same, "Wow," feeling that I did. Truly powerful and provocative.
A really tense and shocking thriller, slow to start but it delivers a unique storyline with plenty of twists and misdirection. Samuel L Jackson also delivers, with some great lines, the mixture of calmness and coolness we saw in pulp fiction, and one of his best performances; Also nice to see Michael Sheen work alongside him.
decent enough film with great performances and thought provoking themes about the extremities of torture and terrorism, however it is nothing new that 24 hasnt covered much better in its eight seasons. despite a weak ending, the opening 20 mins contain enough twists to keep you hooked, and jacksons character is an interesting one who blurs the lines between what is good and evil to justify what is right and wrong. 3/5
A roller coaster movie made for those who are brave of heart. You need to have courage and nerves of steel to watch this picture. I was pumping adrenaline during most of the picture; specially the last half. The ending was totally unexpected.
The movie is based on the book, "The Unthinkable: Who Survives When Disaster Strikes and Why" written by "Time Magazine" journalist Amanda Ripley. The book and of course the movie, sheds new light on how humans react to danger and on what makes the difference between death and survival. This picture depicts a frighting and absorbing study of the psychology and physiology of panic, heroism, and trauma.
Samuel Jackson, Carre Anne Moss and Michael Sheen were superb in their roles. They earned their paychecks and a lot more. Surely this picture is on its way to an Academy Award. Just wait and see.
"I implore you to seek watch this amazing picture. Watch it all the way through until the last second before the credits roll. You may find your usual moral high ground highly unstable in those final moments. Itís a smart, engaging and challenging film." This is serious stuff!
hahahaha this is so true. people are just messed up. we dont know whats good, or what's bad. doing really awful things, the covering them up with the label ''we saved our people'' that's --t. c'mon. the thing is is , that some just want to be so powerfull, full of money, full of everything and it's all that matters.
very good movie. i found it even humorous, kinda ironic.
the two main actors were just amazing.
i hope even the highest dear president watch this. too see the heroes they, we, all are.
