The truth is, when you think about it, Dana White is a moron for putting these guys in a cage against Anderson Silva, and Anderson knows it. Wtf is Dana thinking? The last few fighters that have gone up against Anderson Silva are pathetic and have a one dimensional game plan that was going to lose from the get go. The fact is, if you can't stand with Silva and your only idea of beating him is to take him to the ground.. well, you better do it well. The man can avoid fast punches with ease. It's not going to be easy to take him down. Not to mention that Anderson Silva is a great ground fighter as well, even though we don't get to see it very often. My point being, why the hell are these the guys that are said to be able to stand up to this man? They are clearly out matched and Dana is an idiot for putting together fights that aren't even worth the time, let alone the money. So I personally think that Anderson Silva pisses Dana White off, in particular and on purpose, by mocking these guys. The man is a real fighter with a real passion for martial arts. He wants a good fight. Give Anderson a real fighter in the cage with him and I promise he won't be show boating like these last fights.
I hear all these people go on and on about how they are so upset with Anderson Silva and the way he has been fighting recently. How they are dissapointed for the 30 minutes they wasted watching a fight. But just think about it from Anderson Silvas prespective for a moment. You aren't training for months and months for a fight, he is. You aren't maintaining a healthy balanced diet, he is. You aren't trying to perfect your skills to match up against the best like the ufc promises, he is. So although yes, it is a waste of about 30 minutes of your time, it's about half a year of him training vigorously to be matched up against a pathetic fighter. Just think about that the next time you want to feel disapointed. Feel disapointed that Anderson Silva has to put up with that crap, not dispointed at him. It's Dana White that you should be angry at for putting these guys in a cage with Anderson.

Silva is a great fighter, most of the time, and he only mocks people that he thinks aren't good enough to be in the cage with him. he puts his hands down to try to get them to engage so he can smash on them. but he also needs to start fighting the way he did on the way to the top, he needs to start finishing these bums off. i can't wait for him to go after the 205lbs belt now that machita isn't the champ. matt hughes has lost it and cant hang with current ranked fighter, G.S.P. will hold the belt for a long time to come!!
More boxing than ground and pound, but still a good watch. Matt Hughes is my favorite and can never do wrong. The Penn/Edgar fight was odd. Online it was said that Penn had a sinus infection and was on antibiotics going into the fight. It was clear that Penn was stronger but he just was not there and Edgar just out boxed him. It was odd that Penn did not listen to his corner and try to take Edgar down as Penn shines on the ground with submissions as well as being a good boxer on his feet. Penn just did not seem like he was really there for the fight. Silva is good but he still thinks he is all that and a bag of chips and that is what will cause his first loss. Too much of a showoff and with those hands down all the time, all it will take is the right person with enough speed to connect a few. Too bad Damian Maia was not fast enough. But if I was a judge, I would have declared him winner since he tried harder and had more heart. Sliva sucks!
anderson is a .. joke dude. i hate gsp because he fights like an olypic wrestler and its boring as .. but anderson fights like a cocky little .. and he never backs it up anymore. he needs to open up on ppl and stop with the show boating conservitive fighting style. i hope gsp beats his ass actually and i hope he is made to look liek a fool.
not a particulary good set of fights..gracie fight quite good tho..pretty sure gsp will beat silva..hopefully!
ive been to abu dabi and its very very hot and the air out there is 50% sand, thats no recipe for good fights!
What a showoff Silva is.. I bet Dana was mad all he did was dance about the octagon for 5 rounds. I hope GSP puts him in his place when they fight. 2/5 again another dissapointing UFC for the matches they had.
