Watch The Voyage That Shook the World Description :
In 1831 a young amateur scientist, Charles Darwin, boarded HMS Beagle on an epic five-year voyage of discovery. 2009 marks the 200th anniversary of Darwin's birth and the 150th anniversary of the publication of his book, 'Origin of Species'. The Voyage that Shook the World retraces Darwin's journey, exploring the places and discoveries crucial to the formulation of his Theory of Evolution. Filmed in South America, UK, North America, Australia and Europe, The Voyage features dramatic period recreations and stunning nature cinematography interwoven with scholars sharing their perspectives on the man and the controversy. A fascinating and thought provoking opportunity to gain new insight into The Voyage that Shook the World.
The Voyage That Shook The World is a 2009 dramatised documentary film commissioned by Creation Ministries International, a Christian Young Earth creationist organisation, and produced by Fathom Media. It was released to mark the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin's birth and the 150th anniversary of the publication of his seminal work On the Origin of Species
How on earth can any intelligent person put together such a ridiculously far fetched documentary in 2009 and recruit the most deranged group of so called scientists which for 50 minutes deny all evidences and discoveries made by science to pursue their creationist paranoia .I feel sorry for all the students they have been teaching to through the years .
Nicely done, visually appealing, but much of it was an attempt to discredit Darwin instead of just presenting the facts of his life. The whole last half was devoted to creationist bashing him and science. Sad really, it started out as a biography but took a wild tangent and turned into a smear campaign. I wonder if anyone will ever tell the story of his life? Probably not, no one is that brave.
The BBC I think it was did one this year called 'Creation'. Quite good. Only idiots bash evolution fact. They haven't evolved enough to understand the simplicity, elegance and beauty of the real world. They prefer magic, tall tales and fairy-stories. Oh well, like children, if it keeps them happy.. :)
