The movie isn't scary. There are a bit of unusual parts to it, but nothing that will give you nightmares unless you are easily scared. The only parts that made me jump were when there was silence and something made a sudden noise.
This movie had the potential to be a better than average horror. How disappointing it turned out to be. Nothing original and badly revamped horror scene cliches. Editing and directing completely off. I wasn't too bothered what happened to the lead character by the end of this 'show'. Odette Yustman might prove herself to be a decent actress in the future but she did not shine here (though to be fair, Oldman didn't hit the mark either and that blame always falls to the directer). The only surprise this movie offered me was why Gary Oldman would lower himself to be part of this.
I was sweating by watching this movie.Apart from her being so freaking HOT,It was a great story as well.It was slow introduction with a good ending.
Evil wants to be born NOW!!Can't wait for the sequal.
Don't believe the negative comments because this was a VERY scary (in parts) edge of your seat, suspenseful movie! I tried watching it before, but because it starts out a little slow, I haven't watched it until now. I admit that it takes a little to get built up, but once it takes off, it's great. Possession, evil, ghosts, at it's best.
The film lacked origionality. It seemed to be heading down the same storyline as most common horror films, yet the acting was believable and it deserves high marks for it's horror factor.
Its a good movie the plot really intense and the cast was very good in their characters shoes. Gary Oldman made another unforgivable performance at least in my eyes he did. The Unborn is another one of those unforgetably good horor thriller flicks these movies just need a good story and this movie had that touch deeply stamped into it :D 9/10
No originality.. How typical is the calm, stand-alone ghost who just stares and then gapes its mouth and eyes open sending a blood-curling scream in an attempt to surprise and scare? Maybe once per movie is enough, but that happens in EVERY SCENE IN THIS MOVIE MULTIPLE TIMES.
If you watched a trailer, there is no need to watch whole movie. Seriously. Everything worth a watch is in the trailer, and the rest it's just a trash to fullfill 1.5 average horror movie. I actually got bored, and didnt finish watching, bcz i knew wts gonna happen.
I gave it 3, because it made me jump 3 times, but I'm the easy one to scare.
I have to admit idea was good, performance and screenplay not so much.
