Based on a popular TV programme that explores the unseen and unexplainable, this big screen version follows a film crew to the eerie and mysterious location of Thailand. However, while shooting for a new TV programme series, the crew becomes totally unprepared for what they will encounter.
ok couldnt get past the animal cruelty but just to say i watched some of it, if this is your thing then watch, it isnt mine..
I know i shouldnt be adding a comment but I did tryy to watch it to the end
I see from many of the posts here people don't believe this to be a true show, or that these are actors..things are a set up, etc.. When I saw the title for this movie I didn't think I'd seen it before, and actually, the very first part I don't remember being a part of it, but as soon as it got into it more I knew I had seen it. The first bit actually made me upset that they showed that footage, I don't think anything from the Tsunami should be used in any entertainment way, that's just wrong. Once it left that however, the group is a factual group.
In Thailand they do not have ambulance services like we do, there is no official emergency medical responders employed by the gov or town.. When there is an accident, suicide, emergency, death.. a group of volunteers who are 'employed' by a charity group are the main responders. The reason for this is the Thai culture, it is VERY deeply ingrained in their belief systems that if they even touch, some go so far as to see, the body of a dead person their spirits could possess or haunt you. They are so fearful of this they in no way will touch a dead body. These volunteers, though needed desperately, are often shunned by elders in their families as they believe the spirits stuck on their family member could attach themselves to the rest of the family.
While it may not seem to some that this is a real documentary, it is. Their culture is heavily steeped in belief of possession, ghost, demons.. it is very much a part of their lives.
That said, Im still not thrilled with this doc. 3/5
so you mean to tell me that the animal cruelty is real but the documentary is fake. So for movie purposes they would torture live animals for a movie? I doubt it and secondly how is it that society has become so backwards in caring more for animals than human rights? I am not saying animal torture is right nor is the mistreatment of animals but I seriously doubt a movie maker would torture animals for a movie now if its a documentary they don't plan to as in buy animals to show the torture they film as it happens I believe it is a documentary. People are so concerned with how animals on film are treated well there is a kfc site that shows how they kill chickens and guess what they just break the necks by pulling out just like the guy did here but you don't have an issue with eating kfc do you in fact one guy that was being filmed and did not realize it showed how he would do it and pulled to hard and pulled the head off the chicken yes this is the kind of people kfc buy their chickens from
