I think that this is a pretty good movie, but purely down to the performances of the legendary Jackie Chan and Love-Hewitt, the script is flawed but the actors pulled it out of the bag, overall i enjoyed it.
8/10.
The first 30 minutes is pure Jackie Chan. Brilliant and hilarious.
The rest of the film is Jackie Chan doing his best with the worst script ever to get slapsticked.
Jennifer Love Hewitt played her character well but the character needed hitting with a garbage truck after being hit with the slapstick. I'm not a violent man but for her I could make an exception. Annoying or what?
The last 5 minutes or so were back to good old Jackie Chan and even Ms Hewitt's character redeemed herself .. almost.
Jackie Chan, sterling as ever, but lordy he had to work hard with this script.
I am a Jackie Chan fan. I find his movies enjoyable, but please avoid watching this one at all costs. This movie isn't funny or entertaining, it's a great disappointment. I can't name one good reason why you should sit through this entire movie.
