took me a good while to watch this movie i didn't think it would be to great because of the previews were the worst..but nothing else was on demand so i gave it a try the beginning was kinda slow but it was worth the watch 9/10 watched it a few more times after.. thats just me everyone has different tastes don't judge by comments or like me previews :)
One poster said "It was a disappointment to watch these two masters at work and not get any enjoyment." - I agree. Was just an okay movie.. nothing special, I see now from other posters it's a remake, but never the less it seemed unoriginal and played out a bit too slowly or boring? Not sure, just something seemed missing, and no I don't mean killing and gore - suspense, twists?? Definitely worth a watch because Denzel and John are in it who played their parts awesome, but that's about it for me.
Travolta's character choice is quite doubtful lately.The role's that he's choosing does not suit his style.Loved him in Phenomenon,even better in ladder 49,and not to forget the thin red line.My favorite "Swordfish".Ever since the passing of his son he has been lost.

travolta is soo great as the bad guy..Great remake of the original movie..Good change in storyline..Outstanding cast..A great action movie ..Gave this movie 7/10..Enjoy!!
1 2 3 and sleep. i have fallen asleep with this movie twice, finally got though it the 3rd time. i only realyy watched it because of all the good reviews, but believe me when i say this movie is slow, boring and flatly acted. it would seem that this movie was just a "job" to the pair of them (denzel & travolta). by far the worst film for them both.
Another great movie. Neither Washington nor Travolta can do wrong, then you put them in the same movie! Your in for a great ride. 9.5/10 (only because I didn't like the ending).
Taking of Pelham 123" was the movie that had it all. A great director in Tony Scott, screenwriter in Brian Helgeland (Man on Fire, LA Confidential), and leading men in Denzel Washington and John Travolta each doing what they do best. To its credit, Washington and Travolta keep it afloat. This is the kind of movie both can do in their sleep and watching them go one on one with each other is the film's main bright spot. Were also in for a pretty exciting ride as Tony Scott swings his camera around New York city streets and underground subway tunnels. Though this remake of the 1974 film starring Walter Mathau and Robert Shaw proves to be a little less than the sum of its parts.
enjoyed the film..thats all,big hollywood actors,action,effects.etc.i believe you cannot go wrong with this film,it has everything exept originality 8/10 for the production..4/10 for the watch again factor
i thought it was a great movie. i love anything with denzel washington. i agree with many other comments that the ending couldve been a lot better though. i did enjoy it i will give it 8.5/10. definately worth a watch.

If you look at this movie for its entertainment it is very average but if you weed out all the hollywood and focus on what the movie is trying to show you about how money is made and the power of the Federal Reserve and run with it you will find the movie a lot more interesting.
