Such a classic! I had forgotten how much I love this story, Julie Andrews, and the music! Fact: Maria von Trapp is a real person, but this musical is not an accurate telling of her story. Check in out on Wikipedia and also in Maria's book, "The Story of the Trapp Family Singers". Very informative.
In all of these years this is the first time I ever saw this movie. It is truly unforgettable. I wonder if many know this story has more truth that fiction. This really did happen to a family and the story is based upon them. A family classic. 10/10
This is how musicals should be, beautiful cinema photography, great acting, singers who can and words you understand and can hear clearly.. not a hoodie in sight, absolute privilege to view, will never age and be an all time classic forever.

I love this movie I have vached it about 60 times and it gets better and better every time I watch it I now all of the songs by heart and have read the book 30 times i give it 150/100
Just amazing. SO very cute my favorite Julie Andrew film, and the movie overall was just brilliant. I recommend it with anyone who like the classics. So awesome.! Splendid acting and just awesome! ;D great job! 9.5/10
When I was a kid I used to complain that the whole Abbey sequences are long and boring, but now I just watch it with avid enthusiasm 'cause I know that my favourite parts are coming up right after them - beside, Peggy Wood (Reverend Mother) has the most incredible voice in the world)

all time classic 4/5 stars for me. I heard that when it was time for the kiss scene between vontrap and the nanny they had to dim the lights as he was so embarrassed?..but dont see why, no raunchiness there its just an old time family fun romantic will they/wont they type film, a little too long for my liking but enjoyable if u have kids nonetheless.
I HAVE WATCHED THIS FILM A GOOD 50 TIMES AND I LOVE IT EVERY TIME.
A BEAUTIFUL CAST..INSIDE AND OUT. I USE TO KNOW EVERY WORD TO EACH SONG..I STILL KINDA DO. ITS A MOVIE WE WATCH EVERY THANKSGIVING DAY AT MY AUNT'S HOUSE. SHE LOST THE DVD SO WE USE TO HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL IT CAME ON T.V. 10/10. JULIE ANDREWS AND CHRISTOPHER PLUMMER ARE BRILLIANT.
