You can't compare causing and/or wanting tragedies to take place in order to make capital gains to merely trying to make the most of the situation that's left after tragedy strikes.
Superbly informative documentary shedding light on some of the major events of this generation. The Chigaco Boys and their proteges have a lot to answer for!
Compelling.
I am worried that these kind of documentaries do not reach nor spark any interest/curiosity in the public. Most people want sit down feel good movies or action thrillers that have nothing to do with reality. Those who do watch this are probably already asking the hard questions about society and government. *sigh* At least Naomi is out there providing us with such well researched critical analysis and not sitting back in her arm chair and just pontificating. Big Naomi Klein fan here.
I'm just about to watch it but felt I had to agree with your summation. The older and 'wiser' I get the more I realise most people are ignorant, obedient zombies. We have been taught and raised to accept that we can't change things. We are trained to be subordinate. We are punished for dissenting. Anyone who discusses the real world out there is looked at as if we are mad! A few of us are making a stand but not enough to make a difference.
I'm not a huge fan of Kleins ultra-socialist views but its the message and not the messenger that's ultimately important..
Anyone who says the world isn't sh*t isn't an optimist - they're an idiot! Saw that slogan on a T-shirt.
