I really enjoyed this movie, Awsome story and truth wit great act and filmning.
Loved the songs also :D:D:d I love rock and roll ;D and Hey dad, hey mom song :D:D'
A must see. 5 star movei =)=)=)

I did not think I would, I do not even like roll and roll. I was impressed. I thought Dakota did an unbelievable job and really convinced me she is an actress we will enjoy for many years to come, if she chooses. And despite all the comments about Kirsten i thought her acting was good. (Maybe cuz i never saw Twilight). I also liked the ending - i thought it was appropriate! A good true story too. One i never would had known about had i not watched the movie. It was fun to look everyone up on Google afterwards to learn more about them.

Oh.. online I found out Cherie wrote a book, and someone working with Joan shopped it and ended up with a movie deal plus a biography book deal.. that is why the movie is about Cherie.

this was a good movie i love movies about bands the funny thing with this one how ever is that kristin out acted dacota and i thought that would never happen. its just a simple true life rise and fall of a hard rock and roll band that put out some dam fine music and its best known for makeing joan jet how she is. 4 out of 5

You're kidding right? Kristen Stewart couldn't act in those Twilight fiascos and this is no improvement. It's a decent flick if you can look past her pitiful acting. (WTF were they thinking getting her play Joan Jett?? That's like getting Justin Beiber to play Ozzy Osbourne. They completely missed the boat on this.)

I am a HUGE fan of the Runaways, so needless to say I was really excited to see this movie. I really felt that the movie was a bit choppy. The transition from scenes didn't flow. I think it would have been better if they had showed a bit more background of the band. I think the acting was great and they scenes were wonderful but it just didn't flow right, to me. I think it needed to be longer..it seemed just too short. Overall I still really enjoy it and recommend it!

Dear God, my eyes! my ears! they're bleeding. I can't believe I took the time out to watch this long-anticipated movie for it to be a dud to me. I was bored by the first lip-synching bit and it got progressively worse. like, can y'all penetrate the cherie currie role being portrayed by kid sensation - dakota fanning?? wat a stretch in character that was for my brain to adapt to.

Oh there are people like you everywhere. Nobody really cares if you're just gonna complain. You obviosuly don't know much about acting, script writing, producing and directing, so you should probably just be quiet, cause all your opinions are based on what others think.
There were no lipsyncing in this movie.

If you read any of the interviews and what not you would learn that dakota and kristen took singing lessons and kristen learned guitar for this movie. So..yeah they are lip syncing but it's their actual voices. Pretty impressive to me.

I really liked it. It seems like Kristen can actually act when she's not sucking in the Twilight Saga. I mean, don't get me wrong, for entertainment I like those cheesy fantasy movies, but lets be honest, her acting is not the best on those movies. In this one though, it was really good, and Dakota, well, we know her, excellent actress. All in all it was a good biography movie and the music awesome, so, I totally recommend it.

wow..brings back the memories..the sound track is what I grew up listening to and the Runaways was always in my collection. Always loved the all girl bands..had the first Suzi Quatro albums and loved every song.
This is a decent flick ..like the way it was shot..acting was decent,imho..:)

If you are a fan of chick bands and movies that show that women can be badass this is the film for you. It shows what rockstars really go through..the whole sex and drugs part and the stress that is put on rockers in the music industry. It shows that women rockers go through the same thing. I thought Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning were fabulous. Some of the best acting I've seen and the music for this movie was just fantastic. Fabulously put together 5/5.
