I loved reading The Phantom when I was younger but this movie was horrible. The 1996 version with Billy Zane and Treat Williams was a lot better. I would suggest that over this.. This was a pretty poor adaptation.. 1/5..

As a comic book and Sunday comic strip fan of the Phantom, I found this movie very disappointing. The 1996 version of the Phantom with Billy Zane was a lot better. This movie was slow, too long and not enough action, and the acting left a lot to be desired for it to be a true Phantom movie. I would rate this movie a 4 out of ten.

The movie was hard to watch because the characters were so obnoxious and unfunny. The lead character looks like one of those actors in their late 20s who still plays teenaged characters. It's more like The Phantom Meets 90210.

reading here, this was made for tv? Really nicely done if that's the case. I enjoyed it but like others have said it did drag in several places but I'd watch the next one for sure. Fell in 'luv' with the red head :I)

I think its safe to say that when I first saw this posted I got a bit over excited, however having watched most of it (I couldnt finish it) I didnt really enjoy it at all. I know remakes have a tendancy to suck (case point look at Friday 13th) but its not actually a remake so theres no excuse for it to be crappy. At least in the other version he wears the classic outfit whereas in this one he looks nothing like The Phantom character. If your a big fan of the Phantom then maybe, otherwise dont bother with this.

This was an intersting adpadtation of the continuing adventures of The Ghost Who Walks, (The Phatom) but a great deal was left out. I grew up reading the comic book, and later the animated series. Even though the plot stayed true to the original story line, it lacked a great deal. (much was left out) But I did like this latest version, and I hope they plan on either making it into a series or at least another sequel. ** Stars!

Overall it is made for TV and most of the acting is good but the actor chosen for the lead is not even close to being Phantom calibur. The Phantom has always been an imposing figure, much like Batman, not a scrawny little runt with no shoulders and a head too big for his body that has to look up to the average woman. The costume is ridiculous, the story is average and as far as I am concerned this is a blemish to the Phantom name.
