What really bothered me was that Mark W. was more funnier then Will F. go figure. The movie was suppose to be over the top and I get that. But i just didn't like it at all. To me a 1 time watch. 5/10

Absolutely stupid from the outset.
Yes it's supposed to be over the top and silly but I couldn't bear the cringe-worthy, cheesy and just downright pathetic one-liners.
I never thought The Rock was a decent actor and this just showed me that he's an even less competent comedian.

if they were trying to poke fun with quirky absurd lines, it failed miserably.
story was as lame as the characters made it to be.
no pace, no suspense, no surprise, no plot, no laughs.

I loved this movie. I notice a lot of Rock and Ferrell haters out there..he he. This movie had a great cast and ya i was surprised a bit to by the The Rock and the flick kinda dies in the middle but it was still pretty funny.

I thought this was very funny. Like most people have already said Ferrel is the same as usual but I find him funny so that's ok for me. The movie didn't totally revolve around him though and it was better than I thought it would be. Wahlberg played it straight which worked and Coogan always cracks me up. On the down side I was about to say it went on too long, but having checked it was only 107 mins so it could be guilty of dragging a bit towards the end. Jackson and The Rock (you'll never shake that tag, 'Dwayne' lol) were perfectly cast.

Usual ferrel humour..you love it or hate it..me i love it so i was looking forward to this especially with the cast of actors.for me it fell a bit short of the mark to his older stuff.dont get me wrong,will was funny and whalberg,coogan and goldblum were pretty good too but the plot just didnt suck the viewer in.i may come back to this one and try it again.maybe i was`nt in the frame of mind when i seen it.7/10

I Saw this August 10 2010:
ok, I expected a normal Will Ferrel movie this was that with a bit more wierd seeing Will in action XD but got used to it, this could actually get a sequel XD
Well we laughed a lot in the theatre as I read in reviews and comments they say laughs narrow down in the middle well for us it went mostly full on I liked it. It was a great buddy cop movie XD so heres the question where its brought up. Is it better than Cop Out? Lots asked me that well theyre both not GREAT movies but theyre both good in theyre own way both go along the same line but if I really had to decide I think Cop Out but like 2% from each other not much in my eyes
It was huge to decide for me and Box Office I mean two comedies in two weeks Dinner for Shmucks last and this now but in that case yeah it could get harsh but for me Dinner for Shmucks hands down as I wrote there last time I laughed so hard was Cop Out I laughed here too but not till it hurt in Shmucks it was nonstop I couldnt breath XD
for this I'll give 8/10 probably will see it in theatres before DVD :D

It was funnier than I thought. It does fall short in what a couple other people have mentioned; it's pure comedy gold the first 45 min or so but then the movie tries to have a serious story, which doesn't ruin the movie, but it definitely peaked at about half way through. Definitely a movie to watch in theaters or with friends. Just that kind of a movie.

first i personally have never could get into Will Ferrell as funny,for some reason he just don't get me to laugh at his attitude and stance in comedy,he just seems like he doesn't smile or his humor is a straight stare,anyways this movie right off the bat looked like it was going to be great with the actors but it fell short right off and the thought of it was going to be not so good was lingering in the mind as it continued,then shortly after the exception of the beginning of the movie it turns into a hilarious movie,its a funny movie and for once Will Ferrell did OK in comedy 3/5
