WHEW!! WHAT A JOURNEY!! I SAW THESE FILMS AS THEY CAME OUT AT THE CINEMA, AND GOT HOOKED ON THEM. I LOVE THESE FILMS, FAR EASIER TO ABSORB THAN THE BOOKS. TOLKIN WROTE THE BOOKS WITH THE INTENTION OF THEM BEING READ BY HIS TEN YEAR OLD SON, BUT THEY ALWAYS MANAGE TO LOSE ME AFTER THE FIRST FEW PAGES. I'M GOING TO GIVE THIS FILM 8/10, ON ACCOUNT IT'S NOT THAT TRUE TO THE BOOK (according to my mum) FOR MORE GREAT MOVIES, CHECK OUT MY PLAY LISTS
magnificent trilogy seen them all many times but i really need to read the book which gladly i have i checked it out of my school library a few years ago and never returned it and finished school 2 years ago but its daunting just looking at the size of it cuz its all 3 in 1 then you open the pages and the writing is tiny but i will eventually get round to it
I love the Lord Of The Rings movies this last installment lives up to what you would expect it too and you walk away satisfied. Action is unreal and the battle scenes rival Gladitor and 300 easyliy. Elijah Woods potryal of Frodo is at times annyoing but he does a great job nonetheless making you wish. Suspense is off the hook. Great heros and storytelling and every scene has meaning. The books are good I read all there and much more so if you like the book or even if you don't you will love this movie. Yes there is cliches in it but that doesn't diminsh its overall experience. To Modar!
I think the messages in the trilogy is clear. That short people need love too, and that they can in fact serve a useful purpose in scocity as long as we all band together and make them do it. And that pippin and mary WAS NOT GAY even though they held hands, stood arm in arm and kissed once in a while is not an indication of fagdom. and the last lesson was that Sam saved every one not Frodo, even though he got all the credit, money, fame and a 5 book deal with Hollywood. LONG LIVE THE KING!
I had read the books when I was younger and never expected the Trilogy movies to be this close to the books written by J.R.R. Tolken. It is without a doubt the best three movies ever made and Peter Jackson did a superb job by putting together the trilogys cast, crew, and the directing of these films to coincide with Tolkiens books. A rating of 10 out 0f 10 I give to all three movies as a must see to all movie fans.
If you're looking for a cinematic masterpiece, look no further. This entire trilogy is by far the greatest movie I have ever seen. It has been my favorite movie ever since it was first released; and I expect it to remain so. Everything about this film is flawless. Sheer brilliance.
