I know this is a good kids film but as many of you may know, the old Disney writers sneaked in bad stuff you have to look closely to find them. One you can see in this movie is at the end of the movie on the ship during the wedding. Look around the old priest guy's groin area and you will see what I mean. I can't beleive they get away with stuff like that it's really funny XD.
i don't know what's more disturbing:
the fact that the animators did that
the fact that you noticed and posted it as a comment
or the fact that i kept your comment in mind, and double checked it's factuality
lots of the disney movies have stuff like that. like in the rescuers.
I actually didn't just "notice" it. This movie came out before I was born and lots of people knew about it before me. And I also heard that rumor, but I don't think it is true because there are many Disiney movies that have that kind of stuff sneaked in there.
oh.. much memories about this film!
I had a watch for my birthday ( 4 years ) with Ariel
Had sheets of Ariel, my fish his name was Botje ( dutch for the yellow fish )
I singed songs to my little boyfriend from the movie.
We played little mermaid in the swimming pool.
Just LOVE this movie!!
The animation is amazing and I absolutely love Ariel, BUT of course there are some flaws.
1. The girl is 16..would you let YOUR 16 year old daughter marry a prince? :S
2. The story went on way too fast..but thats only natural since its what 80 minutes?
I always love Disney classics and this is one of those movies you just HAVE to watch! The music, the storyline itself, the characters..altogether just brilliant!
I also watched this when I was just a baby (lol) and LOVED the Sebastian song. This is the first time I watched the english version and I equally loved it! Brought back so many memories and I think I'm going to watch Lion King now, one of my favorites back then.
