The story follows the adventures of Aang, a young successor to a long line of Avatars, who must put his childhood ways aside and stop the Fire Nation from enslaving the Water, Earth and Air nations.
the acting was below mediocre, in fact it was downright atrocious
however, the cinematography and visuals redeem that
boring in parts
i rate this one 5/10
this movie sucked
the only thing different from the animated series is that its real people and computer graphic effects
if you dont know the animated series you will definitely like it but if you have seen the series than its not worth watching for it is not even the whole story
only the first book
i gave it a 4/5 because i like the story and the effects were amazing
What a let down. The martial arts were pretty cool, but the movie as a whole was terrible, especially the acting. Still the special effects and fighting scenes were good so some may enjoy it anyway. For me it was bi thumbs down and I wouldn't suggest to anyone to watch it.
A spectacular film full of beautiful visual delight. This is a wonderful family film which should delight both the old and young

I think the best way to describe this film is its an Americanised cast in a very very traditional looking Chinese martial arts adventure film
not a spoof, nor a homage but a straight ,authentic film
I know it's a fantasy film, a kids film even but it was entirely unconvincing from the pathetic start to the even more pathetic "To be continued" ending.
I'm totally not in the slightest bit excited about seeing a sequel to this hogwash.
I suppose it's worth a watch if you are a nine year old kid who's easily entertained and still has plenty of years left to waste on rubbish films.
Disappointing at best, this is a bad adaptation of a great TV series. Definitely M. Shyamalan surpass Uwe Boll in making the worst film of all times. Noah Ringer/Aang, in my opinion was the worst choice for the part, not that the rest of the cast performed any better, they were all at best wooden. The filming was bad-too many cheesy close-ups of character's faces, and the pace..well that's another story.
My kid who's a fan of the series[tv]got bored after the first 20' and never stop to complain about the characters. It was a waste of time and money, pity I didn't watch this here..
totally agree on all of ur point's..what a waste of money..why is it so hard to stick to the story..just like dragonball's, street fight, tekken, mortal kombat and on and on they all rocked as anime or games and totally sucked big time on the big screen..^^
Honestly, does M. Night. Sha-whatever-his-last-name-is have to be in everyone of his movies? I mean, he could have a hotter Zuko, with much better acting skills. :| I am skeptical about watching this.
I've watched all the episodes and haven't seen the movie. But most of you guys says its disappointing. I know the effects are cool though the Avatar is
I really wanted to love this movie, but M.Knight just knows how to ruin what could have been a great movie franchise. His focus for the story was way off. He made Aang just focus on personal turmoil so much, that he left out the fact that he is still a child. Aang did not have that playfulness he has in the cartoon. He also completely left out the Kyoshi warriors. Which I found interesting because my youngling has a card from McDs with them on it. He also overdid it with the kung fu moves. For those that watched the cartoon series you know what I mean. There would be so much gear up, for one bending trick to be performed.
If they were to make a sequel. I hope they ban M.Knight from being involved with it.
Where can i start the 6th sence amazing avatar pretty good everything else inbeetween pretty much ham but u have moved back up in my books as the cartoon came out when i was young i watched the first 2 seasons n never the last cause i started havin a proper life bein out all day and night so if any1 knows where i can watch them online id be gratfull if they linked it 4 me anyway i think it was to short and
[SPOILER]
the fights were to quick and the final battle was borin to say the least

I really can't think you enough for having this site up. It has taken countless hours of boredom from my life. I have laughed, become teary eyed, been inspired and just had a great time watching movies on this site. I could never afford or could find the time to watch all the movies I have on this site.
I am so glad that I found out about it, and I took advantage of it. Had I known ahead of time that this site was going down, I couldn't have watched more movies than I already have.
I understand why the site was shut down, but it’s a fetal attempt to stop something that can never be stopped. And though you may have won a battle, you haven't won the war. The movie watchers never agreed to 10 dollar and up for movie tickets, which you can only see once, then you have to leave the theater.
I can still buy bootleg for 5 dollars or just borrow the movie and burn it from a friend. Even better I can read a book, wait for the movie to come on cable, or just say the hell with the movies and do some out door activities.
So you may have slowed some things down a bit, but we are just taking a breather until we have decided what we our next strategy will be. Don't forget, we the movie watcher have so many out of the box ideas we have received from all the movies we have already watch.
You will never know how many lives have been saved because someone was able to sit down relax and watch a movie when maybe they had no money in their pockets.
If you want us to go to the movies, either decrease the prices, let us watch the movie over, add a free DVD with the movie, discount the over priced food you have there, have someone come around and serve drinks, have a free after party gathering were we can get free refreshments and discuss our point of view on the movie, whatever you do.. do something extra. Learn to give before you take. That's all I have to say. And rock on dude.
A very heart warming post, but am i wrong or aren't they making a new site? some people say no, most people say yes. Don't say crap like "its been fun while it lasted" when they're supposedly coming back bigger and better.
What are you people going about? Obama.. Osama..
Yes it was great to have free movies. But answer that truthfully:
How would you feel your hard work being given away for free?
Actually, as I am asking that question I wonder:
Have you ever worked at all to understand the value of that question..
