Ambitious young Manhattanite and urban conservationist Beth wants it all: a good job, good friends, and a good guy to share the city with. Of course that last one is often the trickiest of all. Beth falls hard for Tommy, a sexy, young Wall Street hot-shot. But just as everything seems to be falling into place, complications arise in the form of Tommy's sensitive and handsome co-worker Daniel. Beth soon learns that the game of love in the big city is a lot like Wall Street - high risk, high reward and everybody has an angle.
Really enjoyed this movie. Although I would've liked some more explanation, I think it was done well: good story, nice pace, good acting. Daniel was an awesome character, as fictional as his personality is - lol. 4/5.
5 stars..good story..good actors..convincing.its just i would've liked more action a more developped plot/story line.but its worth watching but i wouldnt watch it again.daniel is a very funny character but i didnt like beth she seems weak.n-JOY
interesting but yet kinda different type of movie.. tom has some serious issues.. how the heck can he keep track of 'all' his ''gf''?? and it was pretty hilarious of his reaction when his world came crashing down when eventually they dumped his ass.. but also sick when he started playing with another girls heart - such guys make me sick!!
The female lead, Alexis Bledel, is from the Gilmore Girls so I can see how people would be getting a TV feel from this. She has such a sweetness about her that is always played upon with all the roles I have ever seen her in. It would be interesting to see her push her own boundaries with some livelier characters. Perhaps time and maturity will land her more challenging roles? Also, I enjoyed seeing Andrew McCarthy again. He plays such a sour-puss in this - so fun!
As for this film, I enjoyed it as a lighthearted rainy Sunday morning escape!
Definite chick flick with what I thought were actors who possessed more of a TV capacity than big screen caliper. Some scenes appeared forced and appeared awkward. This film seemed more of a TV movie IMO. Cast consisted of no one, except for A. McCartney. I got it! It was a Canadian movie -- ahh, all makes sense now! Nothing special here, definite chick flick, but palatable when there's nothing else to do..
Well it kept me captivated in the early hours of the morning, but suffice to say I am well glad that I don't have to live those people's life! Just sad & disheartening really..
i am so glad you guys put this up i have been searching it for a while here..i loved it very sweet and romantic..it made me smile and i was not disappointed at all
I enjoyed it a lot and I am not the romance movie type at all.
I started watching believing it was a comedy but didn't find much humour at all.
However I really liked the way it was put together and the fact that the protagonist turned out not to be the protagonist at all.
