I feel like this film really should be viewed by parents and children, this just goes to show that you cant possibly continue to torment someone and think it won't ever come back to you, and its gives the parents a inside look as to what your kids maybe experiencing/doing while at school..worth a watch definitely!
I liked this movie and I can understand how the character's that were bullied were pushed to what they did. Teenagers that bully other are mostly idiots and grow up to be bigger ones. I encountered bullying when I was in school because I was short, chubby, and the quiet type (perfect combination to be bullied). However, when I got picked on I fought back even if I lost or know that I would lose I still fought back. After I got a little taller and since I had a stocky-like build the only ones that would mess with me were the ones that were known to fight good. Still I never backed down and that is what those kids should have done. There was like 5 of the kids that were being bullied, they could have won five on three with the guys that were picking on the kid of India heritage.
Sometimes you got to beat respect into a bully and I know some people will say that fighting is not the way. I speak from personal experience when I say that the number of guys that would try to pick on me when they knew I would fight back was reduced by 50% and 25% of them would only say stuff to try and piss me off. The last 25% were the ones that were didn't care one way or the other.
The two lesson to be learned from this move is don't pick on others cause they might mentally snap and decide to make you pay for it. The other is to stand up for yourself even if you get beat the experience you gain will make you stronger, tougher, and when you win you not feel so helpless that you decide to do what they did to those that bullied them.
I agree. It was the other way around for me. I was a true bean pole. To add more insult to my injury I had to get glasses. Back then if you had glasses you were a geek, if you had braces you were a geek, if you had both you were a super geek. Good thing I only had one. This was one of the After Dark Horrorfest movies that is one of my favs because I could relate to these kids. I didn't go that drastic but it made me smile because of the revenge. I know, twisted little me.
as everyone else said had ALOT of potential but fell short. there were parts when it just dragged on and on and on and on for no reason. they should have just got to the point without all the talking. 6/10
no i agree with manillo they could have gotten straight to the point and spent more time and quality on the revenge portions of the movie. maybe a more demented "punishment fitting the crime" twist. maybe something like "this guy always liked taking my lunch so ive been vomiting up my dinner for the past week- thought he might like it too," then he shoves a tube down his throat and force feeds him the vomit.
Interesting movie, I believe there is a good message behind it I have been on both sides as a popular student and a victim of bullying as well. Though i never bullied anyone in the past. It's in a sense a hororr extreame version of Columbine. Still it could have been better, but decent flick to watch.
This movie had all kinds of potential to be a really good movie, it could have taken on the ambiance of The Strangers or other like minded movie. The storyline itself was a good one, but it just couldn't carry it out and came off being DULL while your gut hurt knowing it could be SO much better. Also, when the dude ran away and found the

Vietnam dude, that was just stupid, that whole scenario in his house should have hit the cutting room floor
, it took allot from the movie.
All in all, a 4/10. It is watchable but it won't have you leave it with a good show feeling.. well, maybe if your a teen.

but alas, like someone else said, it could have been REALLY spooky, could have gone "the strangers" route or something else. kinda scary in a real life kinda way, these bullied kids that end up doing terrible things to their bullies. but overall not too bad. i believe this was one of this years films to die for. if so, they've finally got some good ones.
What we have here..is failure to communicate. Actually, the script communicates quite well what "outcasts" feel, especially the desire for revenge. In essence the film is a more extended version of the Columbine massacre, without the setting. 3/5 for creepiness.
I thought the movie was cool. I enjoyed the dialogue and some of the scenes were executed very well.. they could have made a few scenes more scary, but all in all the movie was worth watching!
I liked it, personally. Good plot, great actors for people I don't think I've ever seen before. Very dramatic, slow but paced just right to keep you wanting more. I really enjoyed it. 5/5 stars.
This movie was good.It does have some areas that are kind of silly but I think the film was done well..The acting was good and the story was interesting.I dug it.
This is what happens when useless nerds take abuse w/o kicking someone's ass. One punch in the face or some sign that they were'nt spineless wimps would have prevented them from having to go home and think about the abuse they suffered over such a long time. Wimps who become killers after their cups finally run over (years later). Cant say I was sorry for them or the people they tortured either.
This is what happens when you keep pushing and pushing someone..You finally push them over the edge. I didn't feel sorry for a single one of those bullies. They got what they deserved. Great movie.
