The Fighter, is a drama about boxer ";Irish"; Micky Ward's unlikely road to the world light welterweight title. His Rocky-like rise was shepherded by half-brother Dicky, a boxer-turned-trainer who rebounded in life after nearly being KO'd by drugs and crime.
Movie was ok, not great, lead character never completely convinced me as an authentic boxer; beer adds.. mmh in a movie that exposes addiction problems. In all worth a watch.
how the hell can they make a movie about mikey ward,and not show or talk about the trilogy (wich by the way "made" mikey ward) against gatti is just beyond me,BEYOND ME I SAID !!nobody gave a rats behind before his fights with gatti,and nobody gave a rats behind after gatti was done with him !!as pure entertainment value,its a good movie..but as a boxing fan,and a huge fan of gatti,im sorry but it just left a bitter taste in my mouth..7/10..
for someone who doesn't care for boxing .. i enjoyed this movie .. especially the life struggles of someone who boxing hasn't been easy .. and to see him work his way back up!! great movie!!
wow just watched movie cristian bale is amazing actor the weight he lost to look the crack head part was brilliance just look at batman hes massive in comparison an the film was great watch it you wont be dissapointed 8 outa 10

Bale should get a nomination for his brave supporting performance(how to act as a credible s.o.b.).The fights scenes were realistic enough to keep the suspense going but the real winner is the ensemble cast ,the oversized family and all.
4/5 and possible surprise at the Oscars.
Well the trailer pretty much told you the entire film. Sure it's not accurate and the clips are not chronological but the overall picture is clear: A fighter from a dysfunctional family does his best, fails a few times, disappoints himself and his loved ones but with the good old fighting spirit he tries and tries again until he either succeeds or dies trying.
That's hilarious! Did you rate it on the trailer too? Nevermind, I know the answer to that and the entire rating system on this site is now invalid.
Edit: Just stating my opinion mm. You can't sum up the movie by the trailer. This member likes to rate the trailers since the links are gone but it still says "Rate this movie" not "Rate this trailer" above the stars and as far as I know the site name is still Watch-Movies. BTW where are you going with the site comment??

I liked this movie but in a lot of ways it was boring. Christian and Mark give solid performances as brothers and fighters,..but i'm glad i didn't have to pay to this in the theater.
Ok I went in I hught it will be an average movie I didn't think I'd hate or love it there were those parts where I despised the whole family how could they be so thick so short so low in the head as to they can't take a hint and relalize they're ruining their family.
Sadly I know this kind of family life heck I still live it and I hate to see it on screen just as much as I hate it at home concept of stpry is diffrent but the holdup all the same.
All in all I liked the movie but the ending harmoniusly after things ike these in real life this is almost imposible I bet there will never be peace in my family.
Well yeah thats that.
