Great Doc, I agree to what all the posters have said b4 me and will add a few notes of my own.
We (Humans) are no more than a parasite to earth as "slavbet" commented there are to many humans on the earth today, have you ever seen how a parasite grows? it doubles and doubles over and over again till it overruns it's host, that is what we (humans) have done to Earth, we are introduced to earth and slowly take over and destroy all living things in our path including ourselves, and will continue to do so until one of use are dead "Earth-V-Humans" and believe this..one of use WILL win, but the sad thing is if we "Humans" win we ultimately lose.
Not only this movie is essential viewing for anybody who eats fish or not, but it's very well made. Not boring at all. As I watched, it felt like a a combination of horror movie and thriller, done with beautiful filming and a very cogent commentary. The contents of this documentary is chilling and inescapable. Overfishing is a global catastrophe linked of course and as usual to the ravenous greed of multinational corporations and the complacency of governments. In fifty to hundred years this planet is going to become a very bleak place. We are living the last golden age of humanity. I'm so glad I was born now and not later. Our children's children will curse us.

It doesn't take a math expert to add this all up. Still, we go on, as if everything will just magically disappear, money will rain from the sky, and improved butt-scratchers keep us from having to get off the couch and face reality.
This is the type of information that big media should be focusing on.Not celebrity fashion or what TV show gets higher ratings. This documentary indicates an urgent situation. One of many that we are facing in our time. Water, oil, ocean life, global warming. These issues are coming to a head and I expect that we will see and face some cataclysmic events very soon. A distinct and rapid change in our behavior and philosophies is crucial and it has to happen a decade ago. In other words, if people start acting and moving in a much much more sustainable direction, then HOPEFULLY it's not too late to make real change.
This is sickening, like all stories that show Corporate Greed! It would seems all or most of the worlds ills come from huge Corporations for their profit..Their greed is unfathomable . They will not stop for any reason as this Documentary proves. Maybe it is time to attack the heads of all these Corporations , for the safety of mankind. Would the demise of a few hundred billionaires be worth saving this world ? Will it come to that ? Unfortunately , I think it has to. The idea of catching all of one type of Tuna so they can then control the price is nothing but pure evil! Hollywood could not think up horror on this scale. If a handful of men through their behavior and greed have the power to wipe out whole cultures of people , to cause famine for hundreds of thousands then should they be shown any mercy ? People need to rise up and stop this madness before it's too late..for some issues it's already there.5/5
Very informative, excellent filmology. The oceans will die, even I have seen a huge difference in my lifetime, a depletion of fish. I agree with a statement made in this doc. that people are crazy, and will fish themselves out of a job.
Another breat doc that shows that we exploit everything, including ourselves. I have said time and time again that what we do as a race is just undeserving of us even being here. Shame on us all for what we are doing to this planent in the name of greed.
