I realy enjoyed this movie..it was'nt boring and kept me intrested thoughout. The charachters all complimeted each other which made it even more ej=njoyable . Really great movie!!
this movie was crap, boring, predictable, bad acting, can't believe theres a sequel, "I got an idea, lets take a camera into a cave and film scantily clad women running from creatures." yup it will make millions.
T's No Overstatement To Say That This Is One Of The Greatest
one of the greatest horror films of our times. The plot, music, claustrophobic atmosphere and a sense of evil lurking behind the shrouds of darkness, is executed flawlessly. Great in every way from beginning to end. Watch Part 2 as well. It's a great follow up.
ok i have to ask this..whats with the ending! i mean..

they made you think she got out..and then shes still in there all psycho now with her daughter..and why did she kill her friend! i mean the asian chick killed that other girl on accident right! i mean she snuck up behind her and she turned around and stabbed her by accident why didnt she just say that instead of making her think she killed her on purpose! wtf! someone please explain that to me..
and now im off to watch the sequel..as i have to know what happens, and this movie did jump at me a few times..and the story was so interesting..5/5
Seriously? You people liked this shi**y as* movie? I bet you guys also liked Jason X. This movie sucked so bad! The acting was wayy to over the top. Ending wayy to predictable. I give it a 1/5
This was a pretty good British Horror movie.. At times it was a little darker then I would have liked but still worth a watch, I would prolly watch again.. Now I'm off to watch the sequel, I'm hoping it's as good as this was.. 4/5..

Just wish I'd bothered to go to the cinema to watch Descent 2, but I thought it would be on here, oh well, guess I'm gonna have to wait for dvd.

I guess I would give the beginning a 1/5 and the end a 4.5/5 so overall I guess it would be a 3/5 for me. Towards the end it gets good, but the reason I don't like it as much as others is that you honestly have to wait 50 minutes into the movie to see the first of the monsters so it is extremely boring. If I were to watch this again I would just skip the first first hour and just watch the end. I don't have anything against the British, but they can't act very well. This gets too much hype reviews too. You can seriously skip the first 50 minutes of this movie and you won't miss anything lol.
I aint exploring no damn caves EVER!...... EVER! Who knows what lurks underneath the earth? You don't.. Just like who knows what lurks underneath the ocean so deep down, the pressure will crush you?

Yo man, these chicks was off the chain with heart! They was killin them monsters left & right, they was off the hook! They just threw fear aside & kicked it into survival mode. Oh yeah It was messed up when one of the chicks killed the other chick who was friends and left her to die, that was messed up..
that was an accident and there was no way she could have protected that girl and herself, she was afraid and her fear put here in protect mode, some times you have to pull back, if you have never been in a battle, then you would not know the level of guilt that a person feels when they know there is nothing that they can do to help someone else!
it wasn't on purpose. it was OBVIOUSLY and DEFINATELY in the EXTREME heat of the moment. now leaving her there is a different story. lol.
forgot how good this flick was. glad i came looking for the sequel (even though i heard it sucks) so i can watch again.
'Lastrequest' - they're not talking about that girl.
They're talking about earlier on in the movie when she spins around & stabs her best friend in the throat by accident & leaves her for dead cos there's nothing she can do for her.
The girl you're on about was stabbed on purpose cos she'd had the affair with her bloke.
Cos we're definately not saying that part was an accident.
The amount of times I jumped at this film was unreal. I'm a lover of horror, so struggle to jump, cos I've seen it all before. I felt so clostraphobic watching this, the directing was amazing!

I got the whole hallucination thing from the start, but I didn't think that it was appropriate for the ending. Would have loved to see one of the creatures in the back or her to end up in a car accident like at the beginning
