The first few minuets after the aliens arrive are pretty good but the rest of it is just too unimaginative to be all that enjoyable.
Also on a separate note why Russia? Maybe it's because of all the 80's movies i've seen with terrible Russian bad guys, but the accent just never works on screen!! 5/10
It was always wierd to me since the first time I saw the trailer, the movie actually came through its sorta like cloverfield I guess with humor and way more lighthearted and yet still wouldn't recommend for younger ones.
The characters are really good they evolve a lot under the story and the ending gets you craving for more, which is after all what a good cliffhanger is all about.
