I expected something more funny. For me it felt something was missing in this movie. It also felt like they could have put those 82 minutes in only 15 minutes. Hmm. Maybe this is just not my kind of movie. 6-/10
This movie makes me miss being 15 (I know they're older than that but they don't act like it). I didn't really like the ending as it felt out of place with the tone of the movie up to that point. 8.5/10

The Art of Getting By. Being somewhat of an expert at this just getting
by in life thing. I loved it. This is for the younger crowd and being
an old man. I still got the drift of the plot. A good watch not to be
missed. Are players in this film grow up, well there last year of
school, they find what's important to them and go with it.
Some facts in life are hard to face, and our fears sometimes overwhelm us in doing the things we want to the most.
Tho are parents at time will dive us to do thing we don't like, Doing right by yourself is what's best and shown here.
Not only do are two love struck kids grow up but so do their parents.
Very moving, I didn't shed a tear. It did bring to light what we take
for granted.
I really didn't know much about the movie maybe I saw the trailer alone 2 0r 3 times and it seemed interesting I wasn't sure if it would get a wide release but thankfully it did, at least at the theatre that I regularly go to.
The story is really well done the acting is great thats all I can say not spoiling the plot I mean its great how it deals with many minor issues in life and how your life is affected until the end of your time.
Its brilliant how Highmore's character evolves in this movie honestly many people are like wierd after Charlie, Arthur and Spiderwick but come on this is diffrent and thank god this kid is no justin bieber cause he will always be a spoiled big headed brat.
Only in 2007 this kids preformance in August Rush was outstanding even then you could see he had potential.

Im still at the beginning Im 20 but still hardly have a point in life I mean its so true you achieve somthing then you die as a child death scared me but not how i die but nothingness I was like Im here but why am I here and whats the point if it'll all be lost I was 10 at the time and Im still trying to find a purpose but just can't I dropped out of High School, but went back now finishing it I do plan to make a career from my childhood inspiration becoming an actor I will work hard but still whats the point as Highmore said NOTHING MATTERS
