Slow movie but a good one apart from the ending, which lets the story and the total film down. Turns into a cheesy moral tale and it's quite depressing 3/5..
Bit of a slow burner with an overall feeling of anxiety and paranoia set amongst the beautiful scenery of rural Italy.
You need a fair bit of patience for this one as it can seem as though it's dragging at times but it's more of a character & plot-based drama than an all-out action-thriller. But that's not to say it doesn't have it's thrills.
The acting is nothing less than superb and the plot is mysterious and intriguing.
It's easy to become immersed in Clooney's character and it's rather uneasy seeing through the eyes of a protagonist who is actually a cold hearted sociopath. Nevertheless that's part of what makes this movie unique.
I thoroughly enjoyed it!

What are you doing George? this sort of italian yarn coupled with you staring at goats lately ,but at least that one was funny,makes it two bad ones in a row..why don't you stare at good scripts next time ?
For us that don't have add or adhd, I think we would say this is good. It is a Drama/Thriller not action. I think it was done well enough for an 3.5/5
He has a beautiful woman to patch him up and take care of him until they can leave the country and live happily ever after
Wolfy you can't condemn him for one film when he's made so many good ones, if so you might need a de-wormer.
I WAS a george clooney fan..until i saw this. What an incredibly stupid movie..they should have called it "george clooney builds a rifle for 90 minutes". I have had better times at the dentist office..ugh.
Alone among assassins, Jack is a master craftsman. When a job in Sweden ends more harshly than expected for this American abroad, he vows to his contact Larry that his next assignment will be his last. Jack reports to the Italian countryside, where he holes up in a small town and relishes being away from death for a spell. The assignment, as specified by a Belgian woman, Mathilde, is in the offing as a weapon is constructed. Surprising himself, Jack seeks out the friendship of local priest Father Benedetto and pursues romance with local woman Clara. But by stepping out of the shadows, Jack may be tempting fate.

This to me was a great watch.You don't really see this kind of film making anymore!!Slow moving and extremely intelligent thriller.In the same footsteps as The Mechanic by the man himself,Charles Bronson.
wow,to me this was the longest boringest movie i have ever sat through,at all times i was hoping for something besides a long ass story line of nothing,i guess I'm just upset with myself for actually sitting through this whole thing more than the fact that for me this movie totally shucked,1/5,,the 1 is for my idiocy of being way to patient in the hopes of something,don't know what,maybe you will find this movie to be more than and or better than reading a boring book.lol,oh well better is yet to come
I liked it, didn't know what to expect I thought it was going to be a limited release in the first place but no it got Wide treatment and yeah its worth the watch its a great story well told. Not much to say really, I liked it.
I usually love any movie with George Clooney but this one was a huge disappointment. So slow & boring I could barely make it through to the completely predictable ending. Don't waste your time or money on this one. 0/5
