hahahaha! This movie is well funny, one of my favourite bits is when the first evil ex boyfriend Matthew Patel makes his grand entrance, and the Roxy Richter fight had me in stiches (your BF's about to get F'd in the B!!?!). Original, entertaining, hilarious. A big 10/10

I enjoyed the underlying theme of the movie, which basically was about teenage life and all its' awkwardness.
At first I thought it was a weird movie- till a friend (who thinks she's so smart) explained the films intent.. then I really enjoyed it after being educated--

I kinda got bored after about an hour.
I found it mildly amusing at best and I didn't find the characters engaging at all.
Some cool special effects were probably the only thing that kept me watching for as long as I did but even overacted, unrealistic fantastical fight-scenes can't keep my attention when I know I am watching a cheesy comic-book- based romance.
I can see what some may love about this film. It is fun, original and somewhat refreshing but what annoyed me most was that it contradicted itself by using fast-paced scenes with the overall story dragging like a dehydrated slug up a sandy hill.

Very much a hit or miss. I went to the cinema in a group of 7 and only 3 of us liked it. Having said that we 3 LOVED IT!!
I'm kinda bored with cera but one of the best movies of the year so far 9/10

I Saw this movie August 17 2010:
Well I was caught up by the time I sat in on thursday last week I was sick so for 7 hours in bed I read all the comics preparing for yesterday and I have to say it was quite staisfying the transition of comic book to movie with loads of Comic bookey Video Gamey effects its a totally diffrent thing .. which is exactly I feel some people will not like it especially those who didnt read the comics or dont like video games or comics (Yeah for you people dont see the movie :D) But I loved it so much it was great.
Wierd I dont have as much to say as I'd thought I'd say when I came out things were blowing from my mind but I slept first and now well thats that.
So in last notes Micheal Cera ok I never thought I say this but THANK GOD you got that role XD Im not saying I hated him but I was never a fan of Cera and probably never will be if he continues making movies he does but his preformance as the though guy fighing the girl of his dreams (Litrally) Scott Pilgrim he pulled off perfectly I'll admit I was worried but came out satisfied
I wont streth it but the endings WAAY off from the comics even book 6s ending but I guess its all connection to book 7 coming out a month before the movies release and filming wrapped up months ago but I wont get into that though that one thing was a dissapointment but what can we do .. it was great comic book to movie I will probably see it like 4 more times before I buy it on Bluray :D
8/10 the 2 deudction is just for the messed up ending yeah I wont stretch it but I cant look away and say it didnt matter cause for fans it reeaally will it turned everything upside down
