A future-set story where robot boxing is a popular sport and centered on a struggling promoter (Jackman) who thinks he's found a champion in a discarded robot. During his hopeful rise to the top, he also discovers he has an 11-year-old son who wants to know his father.
You know the thing when a trailer goes soo many times even though your annoyed at the coninuity in the end you WANT TO SEE IT.
The trailer has been going since DH Part 1 hit theatres 11 months to its release almost every movie I went from then onward showed this. It was irritating to be honest .. the trailer I mean.
I loved the movie its origonal its simple yet effective and it is worth the IMAX ticket so much. Gret acting by Jackman and if it was the kids purpose to be an annoying little poiled brat then props dude you irritated me the whole way through great .. acting (I Hope, more than that? wow Im sorry).
10/10 though cutting edge boxing with machines come on :D
Can anyone say Sylvester Stallone?
I found myself cheering. This movie was great. It was a cross between "Over the Top" a 1987 movie about an arm wrestling championship, featuring (Sylvester Stallone) as the struggling dad and a young (David Mendenhall) as the kid and "Rocky 1"

where at the end Rocky loses the match, but wins the hearts of the people.
Fantastic special effects. Best watch, 'in' theater.
i seen it yesterday at the movies 10/15/11 and it was better then i thought hugh jackman and Dakota Goyo was a great match in this film hope to see more of a franchise in this 8/10 \,,/
When I first saw previews for this movie I new I was going to love it. Dakota Goyo and Hugh Jackman were amazing together. Dakota plays Max and I was blowen away by his performance in this movie. Loved the storyline of a under dog making his way up to the top. A MUST see movie for sure.
it wasn't as good as i thought it might be, but it was an okay watch. the kid was really good in it and i really liked the robot. but i hated hugh jackman's character. i know he's supposed to be a loser in it, but he wasn't at all likeable, not even when he got his act together.
