Becca and Howie Corbett are a happily married couple whose perfect world is forever changed when their young son, Danny, is killed by a car. Becca, an executive-turned-stay-at-home mother, tries to redefine her existence in a surreal landscape of well-meaning family and friends. Painful, poignant, and often funny, Becca's experiences lead her to find solace in a mysterious relationship with a troubled young comic-book artist, Jason - the teenage driver of the car that killed Danny. Becca's fixation with Jason pulls her away from memories of Danny, while Howie immerses himself in the past, seeking refuge in outsiders who offer him something Becca is unable to give. The Corbetts, both adrift, make surprising and dangerous choices as they choose a path that will determine their fate.
Out of everything that happens in your life this must be the worse..The movie was very deep and emotional on all levels and gave you an inside look to this experience..What went through my head was, that we are watching this 130 minutes..But this is a 24/7 situation..Very sad..and moving drama..
This is an emotianal and more mentally drama, were everything is as some like to call slow but is more simple on the outside and full of hidden messeges and emotion on the inside.
One of those movies you feel and hear more kinda but still very great and fantastic.
Sad emotional drama, with a great and powerfull story and great act.
Eckheart and Kidman were great and I loved this movie.
Very little in the way of anything other than DRAMA.
There's no real plot and the story itself is less than apparent until about half an hour in. If you don't know what it's about you may find yourself waiting for something to happen. . . . NOTHING happens.
The subject material is horrible and highlights just how difficult it is for everyone involved in such a situation.
I have no doubt it will win an award or two but is it a film for everyone? Certainly NOT!
