I had heard how horrible this movie was, and saw that it usually had low ratings & negative reviews. I was pleasantly surprised with it. I thought it was a pretty decent thriller, with a few spots that make you jump. Definitely an unexpected ending, for me at least. I'm looking forward to the second one. 3/5.
well this movie is underrated, its a decent horror flick with a good storyline, not a regular zombie movie, when it comes to horror movies m pretty stringent being a horror movie fan and this movie is special.. gave me goosebumps , the only thing annoying was stupid .. won't stop screaming, she spoke fewer dialogs and screamed more often.. putting it altogether its a damn good movie, lets say its 8/10.. if your a horror movie fan you don't wanna miss this one, m looking forward to the sequel..
6.7 ? Cant believe it! This movie was great! Both of them (rec and this remake). This movie made me so nervous! Jennifer Carpenter did great, I honestly think I would have reacted exactly the same. I hate zombie movies but this one was believable. One of my favorite horrormovies. 9/10
I like the idea of rabis being the new rage virus, but I wonder if this is supposed to kind of tell the story, before another zombie movie.. Wouldn't suprise me, but I haven't heard anything.
Anyways, Seeing how the most of them went down, pretty quickly, I wonder what the hell the police, military and everyfucking else was doing outside.. What were they waiting for, an invitation?
Overall.. I liked it, worth a watch, but only one time in my opinion

this its remake of a spanish movie called Rec and there is a sequel of that movie so i dont know if they're gonna remake the second film..i think that way better than this movie..u should watch it and u'll learn more about the background story of how it everything started
It was actually kind of scary. I love Jennifer Carpenter, her acting is amazing. It actually sounded like she was crying. I love her in Dexter. I'm watching all the seasons and am on season 4
Good scare.. strong suspense.. Unlike some of the other comments on here, I actually enjoyed this movie! Wish the ending were different.. would have been good for a quick 3 minutes of written dialogue on the screen that would have explained what happened after!
I liked it it had great scares, pace, acting, and it was filmed like Cloverfield and Blair Witch,, the end had me on the edge of my seat too, still would have been nice to see what happened afterwards though, 7/10

I Love the last 30 mins when it really gets going, altho' the camera work during that time is however a bit to shaky for it to really be fully enjoyed .
Quarantine is a remake of 2007 Spanish horror film Rec, which has been receiving amazing reviews from horror fans, including myself. It was tense, terrifying and had great acting. I only saw Rec a few months ago, and would say it's one of the best of the year. Hearing about a US remake so soon, especially one told to be shot-for-shot, was kind of ridiculous. However, the cast for Quarantine was good, the trailer and stills looked cool, so I thought I'd give it a watch to see how it holds up to Rec. Needless to say, Rec was better, but I still enjoyed Quarantine. It was better than the remakes of Shutter, The Eye and One Missed Call, that's for sure.
Good film to watch. Most people think that during a horrific crisis or life or death situation, they would be the calm one and act rationally. History shows us this is not the case. I like the story, handheld camera was a little off, but still worked. The girl from Dexter was believable but the first 10 minutes of the movie was horrible. Still worth the watch, but beware of the screaming girl from Dexter (wonder what she is like in bed LMAO).
Acting as rationally as you imagine that you would in a given situation is a silly thought, yes..and yet, I like to think that I would, at least, even in a panic situation know better than

"hmm We just found an old lady acting crazy and foaming at the mouth in an apartment and she viciously attacked everyone and killed someone. Oh look, this lady over here is acting crazy and foaming at the mouth..she's fine. Lemme hug her!"

The zombies in this movie were scary and great. The rest were the sort of people that you don't care to watch. Wouldn't rewatch.
Ok, enough with the hand held camera themes. They are getting old and annoying now. And I really wish that reporter chick would have been killed sooner in the movie, her screaming was nerve racking and took away from the effect of the movie because I was getting a head ache
It wasn't very good, and it was difficult to follow in the dark, and the ending..
After 30 minutes i was on the side of the zombies because the people in the building were so incredible stupid..at first i hoped they kill each other but the zombies did also a good job
stupidest things: massive panic breakdown..screaming to armed officers..screaming to give away postition..trying to stab infected with syringe..bringing biten ones in the safe zone..and much much more

Not real crazy about the cam,affect.. But it was an originial type storyline!! They did try something differnt with a zombie movie!! Good cast,, decent acting!! This would have be better if they filmed it another way.. But a good zombie movie.. Gave this movie 8/10.. EnjoY!!
Prefered the original, but as it goes (read: Americans can't read subtitles)they remade it. Nice twist on the zombie-theme, hectic, lose camera-work. Definatly an addition to the genre: 6.5/10
