was ominous, bleak and terrifying. Great film with superb acting! Props up to everyone on their excellent acting skills! Subtle, creeping terror that engulfs you. Hot damn! Watch immediately!
Some people don't understand or don't like to understand the paranormal, so avoid the negative comments. This one was better then the first, great storyline and now it makes sense because

Katie first kills Micah(her boyfriend) and then she comes and kills Kristie(her sister) and her husband, and takes the baby, if I'm wrong, please correct me
. Must see, for suspense horror fans, I will give 9/10.
I'm not a really big fan of these types of movies honestly. The first Paranormal Activity was better than this one. I jumped a few times but after watching the first one, this one was just too predictable.
Allot of complaints about this movie and i dont really understand why. Sure it is slow paced and has allot of preamble etc. But that is the same as the first one and it was never billed as being anything other than "more of the same".
Personally i found it quite enjoyable, the little comic moments with the kid took away from the building tension and handy cam stuff was annoying in parts. Watching it in the cinema really added to the atmosphere and sense of fright and fun that i think they were going for so 8.5/10 from me.
To those of you who watched the first one and didn't like it ,dont watch this one it's not made for you it's for people who liked the first one and want to see "more of the same"
Then there is the problem. The sequels are supposed to improve on the original. The original being so bad, you would think with a bigger budget this film would be better. I was falling asleep.

The guy fits the christian stereotype so much. He fired the only person keeping the kid safe. "I don't believe in that stuff." So that warrants firing someone? He was a complete a**hole. Blaming his wife's fear on hormones. Typical male response.
First off yeah sequels are supposed to improve on the original and this one did so by expanding on the story of the first.
Secondly I'm just going to make my point again, if you really didn't like the first one, other than to complain why would you watch the second one? That makes no sense!!
I thought it was an improvement. Its the kind of movie that i think if they messed around with the concept fans would have gotten angry about it. Having said that i think that they fleshed out the story well and IMO that marks an improvement
let me start of by saying i was the biggest fan of the first one,but this one,not so much,i tried i really tried,but it just never clicked,never got into it..it hurts me to say this but..this is pure grade A utter garbage ! 1/10 and a big fat WHATEVER !

As if being fed a load of crap about a guy and his pathetic wife being taunted by an invisible demon who eventually kills them both isn't enough, the money grabbing bastards are back with an even more time-consuming, cash-wasting pile of donkey-cheese. . .
Only this time they have the novelty of an innocent child and a doggy. Neither of whom have a clue what is going on which no doubt adds to the realism. Who cares if there's any long-term emotional scarring? As long as this heap of crap makes a quick buck, RIGHT?

cripes the whole thing was from the mounted cameras the guy had put all over the house but the crap action they had a hand held. . seriously took any idea of a horror or thriller down a few notches in my book. . elevated blair witch too!
watching these kind of films..should be in the cinema..the 1st i watched in the cinema..it was wicked, but if i watched it on dvd or online..then i would think different..the 2nd i watched online..would i think different though if i watched it in cinema??

Ok people I really dont get you scariest Horror Film? What? Part 1 and 2 put together dont make this a jumpy scary film at least not for me is it just me.
And come on this is tryong to race with SAW (Which is evenly ridiculus in the scary part gorey but not Scary as much) but it still has more on it than Paranormal Activity. Of course it had itss small moments but its pointless the storyline is dragging pointlessly hardly anybody acted good ok maybe the daughter gets an ok from me but come on. And I mean Katie she was a laughing matter and a .. in the first one here only a laughing matter. She just can't act.
So yeah all in all I saw loads of movies this year but if there was any movie that wasnt worth its price (Which was rare this year) This is on the top of the list totally dissapointed but my hopes werent even high but hell it didnt even get that high
I watched it last night and it had that creepiness about it that had me looking over my shoulder to make sure nothing was behind me same as The Blair Witch Project..
I can definatly say that this had me covering my ears and humming to drown out the noise for some scense, others made me go ten feet in the air, and others were just hung in suspense.. but overall this was agreat film!! I liked the first movie, this was even better becuase it gave us a little background to the demon and why it was tormenting the girls in the 1st/2nd movie.. and i can't wait for the most-likely-going-to-happen 3rd movie..10/10
I'm a big horror fan so I like to think I know when I see a decent horror flick. I really was not expecting anything here, but it was enjoyable. It is a fairly slow movie, but that was a choice by directors to try to keep it feeling real and not turn into something you see on the "SyFy" channel. It built up more towards the end, which could have been done much better in my opinion, although the story they ran with at the end was solid at least. Even though most of the scares in the movie are based off of a sudden loud noise and something move, you do jump in theaters; it's unavoidable. I personally never really bought into the whole PA, not much of a ghost person, and even though the movie wasn't great it was fun and a good time with a group of friends. There was definitely also some laughs in the movie but unlike most scary movies that your laughing at, it has it's scenes where everyone is quiet and watching. Good for what it was and what I expected. 7/10
this was sheer and utter crappola!!. . teenage girls with no tv or tunes?. . all the mounted cameras yet what little, and i mean little action there is was shot on a hand held?. . poopy is what i rate this!!. . 79 minutes of . . you've got to be sh.crapping me!
Just finished watching it alone in the dark and I have to say.. it wasn't as scary as the first, sorry folks. Granted a couple of parts had me jump a lil but for the most part, it fell short of my expectations. The only reason I got so into the storyline was that there was a baby involved in this "prequel". Stupid me actually thought this movie was going to pick up from where the first one left off but a quarter of the way into it, you realize that's not the case. Calling it PA2 is a marketing ploy imo. Definitely worth a watch just so you can say you saw it but catch it online - it's not worth the price to see it in theaters. 2 out of 5 stars for me :'{
