I remember reading Mr Nice while travelling around Australia the book gifted to me by a fellow traveller. I doubt I would have ever bought this book, so I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed its content. When I heard the film was in production I was a tad apprehensive and excited at the same time. Fans of the book will want to see the film and Yes, the legendary Jim McCann makes an appearance. But despite there being a ton of great material in the book the film turns out to be nothing more than an average low budget romp. I think the whole production should have been scrapped, it completely fails to capture the real Howard Marks and the talented cast were wasted. 6/10
