Two newly weds Adjie and Astrid, along with three of their best friends decided to have an interstate road trip as a last attempt to reconcile Adjie with his estranged little sister Ladya. Their trip is interrupted by a fight for their lives against a family of sadists.
Heartwarming and heartfelt.
The movie really places emphasis on what can happen (Karma) when you help total strangers.
It really shows you the importance of family and what you can accomplish if you work together as a team.
I see a Disney remake in the future for this movie.
if you like loads of blood and gore then you will enjoy this. the mother was way too creepy for my liking, and found it stupid in parts but I enjoyed it all the same. there was too many unanswered questions for me .
Being in North America, I guess I like my films with fewer unanswered questions, like

how do the bodies keep them young? Why are the people who are 'forever young' also so strong? Who were the peeps who showed up to buy the body parts? Is it one specific body part that these people need to keep them young? Is it cooked? Eaten raw? Used in ceremonial offerings? What's with wanting to keep the baby? And if the baby is so precious, why are there all those dead baby bones?
The film itself wasn't nearly as gory as other reviews suggested. Overall, too many questions, but definitely worth a one-time watch. 2.5/5.
"hostel" and or "wrong turn" this movie from indonesia is right up your alley. i almost stopped watching about a 1/4 of the way in but, i'm glad i didn't. this movie was very entertaining. the gore/blood factor is off the charts but, at least it has a plot. 3.9/5
This is not your typical torture horror film, it has a great storyline, amazing tension, some great acting (especially the woman that plays the mother)wicked, a great watch.
well i searched for a GORE FLICK..and I got what I searched
but this is too much , way too much
its too much tourture too much gore too much pieces of bodies..

Mostly I'm tired of these torture films. They kinda burned out the style, but I like the fact that this one is foreighn kept my interest up. Interesting story. Mrs. Dara reminded me of Lucy Lu. Don't know why she just did.
Sub-titled but well worth a watch.Asian gorefest much better than most recent American remakes or low-budget schlock.A family out for a get together reunion run into horror instead.7/10
was not that good shockingly. i was expecting something better. not because lack of blood and gore. had a twisted story line too. it was just dry. stale if you will. just a 1 x watch for me and i forced myself to sit and watched cos it was so hard to get into IMO. 2/5
Good movie,the actors playing the mother,son and daughter did an awesome job..i wonder if they are related in real life,they sure look alot alike,especially the face expressions they made lol
not my style but wohaa! what a ride:) i was convinced it will be stylish ghost story (especially when i saw eerie, creepy Dara) and.. great gore stuff from Indonesia-but plot is so stupid, even don't try to connect all this threads, if you find any:)), because it totally pointless-just enjoy the show. actually reminds French new horror's wave. i don't like gore/slash movies but i really enjoyed this one-chaos, blood, mess:) it was..refreshing:)
