In this romantic action comedy directed and written by Jeffrey Lau, Alex Fong, the newly invented android with emotions and reasoning ability being, gets planted in a remote town, under the charge of sheriff Hu Jun, to test its functionalities. Being a "perfect human", Alex Fong soon becomes the town's idol, with Sun Li falling for him. But he's forbidden by his programme codes to fall in love. Soon, Hun Jun and Alex Fong are sent to track down Wu Jing, an android seeking independence and questioning the orders of his creator. With box-office takings of 50m yuan, the film was better received in China than Hong Kong.
I liked it very much and for those who complain about the subtitles, is it really that hard to read and watch at the same time? some VERY good movies have subtitles so if you can read you'll like them a lot :)
Well, i was expecting that just for start! "Kungfu Cyborg Metallic Attraction"..! seems like a hiperbolic name, that in the generality reflects all about this movie.. hiperbolic! Too much of many things, including cg, in the biggining it´s ok but when we enter deep iinto the storyline some times it seems a bit too much to digest!
Anyway despite all this problems, it was ok to watch, nice quality versions, nice acting, cool CG and a nice storyline.
Great movie that most people will never see ..everyone who loves sci-fi will be watching something really stupid and absolutely miss this flick..I suggested it to a friend who would love it and he offhandedly dismissed it because of the sub titles ..that's a horrible shame..I like these kinds of movies when they are well done ..and i know lots of people love them well done or not ..watch it is my advice it's funny and wild at times 8.4/10
I had to search all over for a good version that would not freeze up. It was well worth it though. The first half was very good and the second half was top of the line excellent! This is one of the best movies ever! The surprise second half

I can watch this again. It has english subtitles. This is one movie I would download and save! But I did not find it on one of those free download friendly sites.
