Laura Prepon she was really good I would like to see her in more movies (she was always my fav in that 70´s show)
Very interesting movie. Ofcourse after I saw it I wanted to know the real story where she sounds like some crazy woman. In this movie, like other people said here, she looks like the victim. Because of that confusion, I have to say that they didnt do a great job making this ''based on true events'' story. But besides that, it was interesting to watch; 2 different persons doing this to three girls. Good for a one time watch. 7/10
I only watched this because of the two main actors, the story was mildly interesting.. It goes to show that there are sick and twisted people in this world.. Worth a watch on a boring Sunday afternoon.. 3/5..
This is based on true facts, but why was it edited like a lifetime movie? The cast is good, it's just kinda blah. Truely, the most disturbing thing about this movie is Laura Prepon's bangs.
Both Bernardo and Homolka should have been put to death. It sickens me that shes out there livin it up after her part in the deaths of Lesley Mahaffy and Kristen French, as well as her own sister. Dont like how the movie painted her as a victom. 2 outta 5
He raped more then 15, murder more then 5 girls. Movie was edited and it didn't tell half the story.. half of the movies story is made up and other half is twisted to crap with lie's. They both needed to be sentence to death row.
like another commenter said, it ran more like a "lifetime channel" movie except for an occasional "F" word it was pretty lame but it had just enough to keep you watchin, so they achieved that
Good film but totally sick..they both should have been shot a berried..sorry do not have a heart for people like that..i mean its not as if karla was captured from young and abused by this man..she was a grown woman..although he made her suffer he didnt at the start..her choices were made well to late..she should have stayed behind bars..8/10
Summer of 2004 I was living in Quebec and the locals were talking about this (Karla's pending release) - the thing that bothered me most was how little time she spent in prison - so Canadian re: penal system - I also became acquainted with a guy who 1 year later was arrested for the biggest bust of Hashish smuggling in Canadian History - we are talking tons and the RMCP actually caught them on the high seas and that had never been done before - he only got 6 years, served 2 1/2 and is already out - In the US he would have received 25 - interesting - I guess the Canadians are too nice - but these were 2 screwed up people, eh?
A film festival in Quebec, Canada showed this film upon it's release, much to the dismay of the victim's families, based on it's "artistic merits". Pardon Me? Say again? WHAT "artistic merits"? This film wasn't even worthy of the lifetime movie network.
I totally agree, what is so artistic about what they did. damm we are a sick society for glorifying their actions.. maybe we should all go rape and kill to become famous
I thought she did a excellent job in this movie. Karla was very gullible and dumb. "Ur my king" was a little too much for me. Perhaps she deserved every bit of those 12 years served. Perhaps she needed more time in jail to think about the horrible things that happened. Then again perhaps she didn't send her sympathy to those families because she felt guilty enough and just wished to forget the who whole ordeal. THAT PAUL WAS FUNNY AS HELL THOUGH. Them tantrums he was throwing really she should of have just poured boiling hot water on his pee wee. That would have stopped a lot his urges. U dig?
Very sick and twisted couple. I think that karla should have gotten way more time than what she served. I have heard about this couple on T.V, didn't know they made a movie about it until I seen it on here. 4/5.
dull..not what you would expect this type of movie to be..I thought that the movie would be more risk-k.. like the movie "Monster" with Christina Ricci and Charliez Throne..movie is nothing special..
I had heard it was contoversial but it was fairly lax. I expected a more edgey film. This movie is a Lifetime network movie. Did not depict the cruelty and the violence that it needs to make a movie like this very good. Just average made for tv stuff.
