I don't know why everyone is hating on this movie. I actually really injoyed it a lot. There were some parts that were a little to werid but turned out to be an awesome movie.

ok what can i say about this flim, yes it was a bit cheesy yes it could have been better and yes funnily i actually enjoyed it, this movie i would advise if you do not have children dont even bother because you probably wont enjoy it, the guy in it also dose the voice of eago the bird from aladin i can understand some people finding him anoying but i quite like him. i would give it a 2.5/5 but my nice said that she wants me to give it a 10 lol so kids will love it and yes the giant is very cheesy lol

The Giant

OK The giant was dumb, AND his guard was another one. I think it was very good on story line though. But one of the reviewers here was right about the giant being just a tall man. So here's my concept. The guard?? Never should have been there. The giant? Well, first of all did the "castle" seem kinda small for a castle??
Yeah, so the Giant was probably the right height for the "castle"Now, had the castle been a HUGE castle, then the GIANT would have been enormous. The classic story, as I remember, went as follows..
Jack and his mom very poor with just a cow. cow gets sold to a dude for some beans. mom gets pissed, throws them out the window. "magic" beans grow, Jack climbs, sees a HUGE castle, knocks on the door and THEN a little old lady (who is a prisoner of the castle) answers the door. She helps Jack escape but WITH a gold harp, gold coins AND The Goose That Lays The Golden Eggs. Jack then climbs down the bean stalk who is followed by the HUGE giant. Jack touches ground, mother grabs the ax for Jack, who chops the beanstalk down killing the giant, THE END.
So, In this story of 2010 it has been retold with some up-to-date inserts of today. C.O.W has replaced by THE cow. The Goose is a man.. (Gilbert's voice should have been used instead of Gilbert him self).. Giant has shrunk and old lady had a sex change to become a guard. I see how it is now, everyone that said it was NOT a good movie didn't understand the added features of today mixed with the classic story of yesterday. for kids UNDER 5 years of age, I think it would be a great movie being a grandparent as I am, I would recommend this to every child UNDER 5 years of age. To the parents or grandparents of said child/children, well, you just have to deal with it like I do, watching Sponge Bob Square Pants with my 3 year old grand daughter. Good Luck!!

it almost made me laugh but as a whole, i should say..nice try butim pretty sure, this flick won't make everybody happy. as i've said before..all depends and based on anybody's preferences. what i liked may not your likings=) or the other way around. just watch and enjoy or be annoyed.

THIS FILM IS AN ABOMINATION AND I WOULD RATHER SIT THERE AND CHEW MY OWN FOOT OFF THAN WATCH THIS ALL THE WAY THROUGH EVEN ONCE! I GOT FIFTEEN MINUTES INTO IT BEFORE I WANTED TO SCREAM! I think you can get away with using puppets and costumes if its done really well..like The labyrinth, labyrinth, legend well..all top of the game
but this look Half assed and well about two decades out of date
