What a great martial arts movie, fabulous script and acting. Donnie Yen did an amazing performance. The movie is very original, a must watch. I will give 10/10.

The first Ip Man was based on facts. I don't know if this one was, but I enjoyed this 2nd in the series as much as the 1st. The acting, storyline, and action are very good. 4/5

NO WHERE NEAR AS GOOD AS THE FIRST ONE. This is because the passion and reasoning in the first one is much greater. The emotion is greater. Ultimately the storyline is superior to this one. Very disappointed. The first one offers so much more.

I agree with you on embarassment to kung-fu - boxer wouldn't even stood a chance. But this film is more about culture and old traditions, and entire cast did a great job on that and fight scenes too, of course.
