I am all for supporting Indy films..however, why must they all strive to be so "deep" that they lose sight of telling a good story. I don't enjoy spending half the movie wondering WTF is going on. When this one finally winds down to a lackluster finish you will probably just feel relieved, as I did.
I couldn't agree more. The movie starts poorly. Its a full 20 min before we know the main character's name. Its gimmicky in a way that doesn't tell a story. I've no real problem with slowly evolving plots & conflicts (Pan's Laberinth,) but this is too over-the-top. I found this movie: slow, confusing, poorly crafted and boring.
it's about unconditional love. an amazing thing when you find it. look again. Ink longed for it as a child. Found it as an adult (through his family). And lost sight of it when self became more important. The Storyteller helped him find his way back - which is all he ever wanted - to unconditional love.
I'm not usually such a fan of indy films but this one was really amazing. I saw other people felt that it was slow, but I would have to disagree I thought it was perfectly paced. Great story good acting all around a wonderful film.
Well, definately not What I was expecting! This is the kind of movie that will strike everyone a lil differently, like others have said, it's open to interpretation.
I wouldn't choose this one for movie night with ur friends, but definately perfect for a late night movie watch by urself- no distractions, ( & not a big deal if it puts u to sleep!) 2.5/5
when i saw the title i thought that someone had made a movie about the batman villain INK. i was like, yeeahh! Because, you know, i kinda like batman. Well imagine my dumbfounded and disappointed look. i cannot rate cause based on the comments im not in the mood for this type of film, although i can get into it when im in that reflective sort of spiritual mindset. i'm in the horror type, slash and burn mind right now so im off to find one. Just thought i would share my dumbfounded embarrassment.
a little piece of magic.if u watch then carry on and watch it all,do not give up,i think in the end you will be glad(but be prepared its a bit of a thinker)10/10
This is not a strait forward and simple tale; it is open to some interpretation making the film difficult to follow at times. It does come together more as the film advances, but in the end it may take some nonlinear thinking to understand. There was a few holes in the plot such as

why the daughter was in a coma, was she in the car accident that killed the wife?
Still, this is a very interesting and touching film that challenges perceptions. The acting was ok but was a little one-dimensional at times. A unique and intriguing story about redemption. 4/5
If the world have a rhytm I am definately missing the beat ; )
stick with the movie and prepare for many thought provoking scenes, not a movie to sit down and watch effects. it is a great movie if you want to expand your thoughts towards life, death and the afterlife. also intertwines with fate, destiny, and morality within human existance. overall great movie to provoke thought. if you watch this movie aswell please let me know what you think:)
p.s. what does anyone think about the world having a rythm?(reference to movie)
couldn't wait till late night to watch this.. It was difficult but very great movie, very deep, you have to be very open minded to truely understand this..
I started to watch this movie on two different occasions. Gave up about 5 minutes into the movie. This time, I said I will give it a chance, and man, am I glad I did. It was so thought provoking and deep, that I thought I was in the movie. The acting left something to be desired, but the storyline was excellent. I recommend this as a late night watch. Give it a shot, you won't be disappointed.

was a long time ago i saw this kind of movie..
Like komments be4 me, it was crazy wierd, but a the same time beautiful, deep, provoking and a touching story..
Like all the others GOOD movies, it leavs you with a cuestion mark..

I read most of the reviews and I gave it some time. However it didn't seem to be my kind of movie. There's know quesition about it being orginal and it may be one of those movies that near the end you find it brings a meaning you never expected.
If they could have picked it up a little more I may have been more interested. We are living in a fast world, there's good to that and there's bad also. But the movie world is an entertainment arena, and if the audience isn't moved within a certain amount of time, they began to drop off, and the longer it takes the more drop offs you get, until the only people left are the ones that have nothing else to do. I got to keep moving. Maybe when I have more time available I can get into it. But for now I would say not for me.

Surprisingly well, creative story-line, amateur to decent acting and powerful interpretation. Very independent, pretty film art-esque--some may not agree with my opinion. Worth a watch, at least once.

A man loses his daughter to death and manipulated by dark forces called incubus bigins a downward spiral to self distruction eventually committing suicide.
Ink (a suicide soul) enters the mortal world on the request of the incubus to steal the soul of the girl (wich would lead to her death) thus sealing the deal he made with them to be come one of them. What Ink dose not know is that the soul he stole is the daughter who died and he is the spirit of the father who committed suicide.
Ink was tricked on both fronts: killing himself and his daughter and all set up by the incubus; Ink steals the girls soul, the girl dies, the father commits suicide and becomes Ink. An endless cicle repeating itself until the link in the chain is broken.
So remember if you receive thoughts that promote feelings of anger, dispare, hatred, jelousy, envy, arogance, pride and so on you are being manipulated and if you give in to them they will lead to unforeseen bad consiquincis in the futer.
