The way they animated the main dragon in this made me laugh a lot, a movie demonstrating that sometimes its better to use your brains then your brawn, both adults and children can enjoy this one alike.

Hey, I hadn't even heard of this movie when I came across it by chance and watched it a few months ago.. I was blown away, I thought it was fantastic, really enjoyed it! Friends tell me their children loved it too so it's obviously a real 'family' film, ie something there for everyone! If you like animation with a strong story, good characters and all-round great entertainment, 'How to train your Dragon' is a film you ought to watch! Brilliant!

honestly when i first heard the name ..I wasn't going to bother.. It just didn't touch/reflect the brilliance of the movie

you know theyve been making a lot of bad cartoon movies but this one is surprisingly good! the story/plot was good seemed to be well thought out. the animation was creative but yet detailed. also the jokes in it were clever (not stupid). overall 4/5

That was simply beautiful. Much of the storyline was predictable, but it was delivered in a cute and exciting manner that didn't take away from the more serious aspects. Dreamworks has just made a masterpiece.

i cant believe i didnt watch this earlier i had no idea it would be this good. 5/5 from me. i should have gone cinema to watch this i thought it would be a crappy movie but it was awesome and well the name was the reason it seemed bad to me. It should have been called dragon rider or something better than how to train a dragon.
