Hey, OK I love a good romance but with this title I figured this was going to be far too weepie or something.. Fortunately I was pleasantly surprised to find it was a lot better than I'd expected, enjoyable, funny and well-written enough to be considered intelligent for a movie of this kind.. certainly it was perceptive and accurate in it's analysis of the gender gap! OK, the wolf turns into a lamb and realises he's in love with the sad girl, but Hey, Get over it.. that's what happens in Rom-Coms innit! Px :))
Just watched it again and it's still very enjoyable.
Some of the girls' characters (especially the one always dating) seem really desperate and pathetic, I usually hate that type of girls in real life but I guess the movie showed the truth as, unfortunately, they do exist.
I'm not very surprised that men are 'just not that into them", I wouldn't be either.
i personally really liked this movie. it shows how you can misread the simplest behaviors and interpret it differently to what it actually is. i really liked ginnifer goodwin and justin long in this movie. good acting. realistic movie.
the ending was unexpected
Justin Long , Ben Affleck are playing my two male favorite characters & Ginnifer Goodwin , Jennifer Aniston , Drew Barrymore are just amazing.. Along with the res of the cast which were TOTALLY GREAT and HILARIOUS.
This is one of the GREATEST movie, it'a a new sort of chik flick, it's about relationships, about hope and dating in a way that both sexes can enjoy with the great choose of actress/actors and storyline is perfect.
not what i expected!! there is a great cast in this movie and i expected it to be much better!! at times it was a bit slow and predictable!! i also thought it would be funny and it just wasnt really funny!! but there were some ok parts!!
8/10 for me!! its just a one time worth a if your bored watch!
It wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be.. It was actually somewhat enjoyable.. Many different stories running together. He's Just Not That Into You showed the comical side of life and quite a few true facts are in here too.. 3/5..
A group of interconnected, Baltimore-based twenty- and thirtysomethings navigate their various relationships from the shallow end of the dating pool through the deep, murky waters of married life, trying to read the signs of the opposite sex--and hoping to be the exceptions to the "no-exceptions"; rule. Gigi just wants a man who says he'll call--and does--while Alex advises her to stop sitting by the phone. Beth wonders if she should call it off after years of committed singlehood with her boyfriend, Neil, but he doesn't think there's a single thing wrong with their unmarried life. Janine's not sure if she can trust her husband, Ben, who can't quite trust himself around Anna. Anna can't decide between the sexy married guy, or her straightforward, no-sparks standby, Conor, who can't get over the fact that he can't have her. And Mary, who's found an entire network of loving, supportive men, just needs to find one who's straight.
The wife and I enjoyed the film very much.
It was fun to keep guessing what would happen to the different couples and singles - around their individual situations.
My wife kept asking me questions regarding men in general in reference to observations about men in the movie.
She kept glaring at me during key points throughout the movie.
That was awkward.
The film starts with a little girl in a playground getting bullied by a boy, and her mother telling her that this means that the boy likes her, setting up the premise that the more a guy treats a woman like dirt, the more she'll hang around on the phone waiting for his call. From this point we follow the relationship woes of six (no eight, nine, is it ten?) different people and their relationships ups and downs, as one guy is trapped in a loveless marriage, one couple realise they want different things and one woman who is trying to figure out how to play the dating game, the stories cross and intertwine and from this comical situations ensue.
I will emphatically deny it to anyone i know but I very much enjoyed this movie. I will also refute the fact that I discovered it in the chick flicks section. You should watch, "it was good."
This movie is soo true it's really good and it really shows how both a man and woman works on both sides but i didnt really like it when it showed how desperate a woman can be i would never get like that..
pretty good movie, the only thing that bugs me is how extremely desperate some of these girls are. i know it's part of the story & some people are really like that but jeezus, how pathetic. it's ridiculous how desperate these girls are. but anyway, it's a good movie, i enjoyed it!
I felt a bit uncomfortable with this movie.. Maybe it means it's good since I believed all the acting. I just felt annoyed by how pathetic some of the characters looked/were, for me, the signs were clear in the movie (of the guy not liking/loving them as they deserved), and usually, in real life I HATE that type of women; weak, desperate, endless dreamers that won't accept reality.. I mean, I watch a lot of chick flicks knowing it's just an ideal fantasy that rarely if EVER comes true, but, since the aim of this movie was apparently to show some of life's real situations, then I thought I'd just give my real reaction to it. I think the acting was great (since I REALLY hated Scarlett's character, which means she played it convincingly). All in all, it's a very good movie, but don't expect all those funny, cute, jolly beginnings of other chick flicks since you always know where they're heading.. and the end wasn't too bad I guess.
