I was bit disappointed..where's Hogwarts??
No magic at all compared to the early HP movies,
just the visual digital effects. But it was very sad too. Still didn't like the change in some of the characters. I'm missing the real sense of Harry Potter here.

Any potter fan will Love it, and for non potter fans it will be a cool movie. Thou most of the book context made it to the movie; I still say the book had more filling in it. Don’t get me wrong this was by far the best potter movie to me. I loved it, it has parts of the book just as I imagined. The movie has parts that will make any potter fan go “Hole $h%*#” that was awesome”, and some that will make them say “where did that come from” and “where is that part?” But overall it was just awesome. I can’t to see part-2.
O 1 more thing I give this movie 8.8/10

I have read all the books including this one. I have never been a huge HP fan. I think they are ok, but I am not in love with the books or the movies. This movie did not change that. I took my 7 year old, who is a HP fan to see it. After 20 mins he wanted to leave. 20 mins after that I wanted to leave. This movie is so slow moving. I don't remember the book dragging so much. My son kept asking me when it was going to end, and I kept wondering. When the end finally came. Without thinking about it I had said out loud, "Finally!" Much to the humour of two girls sitting behind us.
I hope the second part is better. Which it should be considering the big battle. I also hope they give the revelation about Snape justice. That along with Kreacher was my favorite parts in the book.
Oh something else I just wanted to add. I have seen on another site a lot of parents complaining about this movie being to dark for children. My child was not disturbed by anything he saw. He didn't get nightmares and he could follow what was happening in the film. He never once asked me what was going on in the movie.

i love the series, i went to see it opening day and its a shame they even posted dat 36min footage online so u can be pissed if u see it and want the whole version. lol. ican wait to own dis on blueray. saw some things dat really shine some light on wut i hadnt know. great job bringing these books to life.

Not as good as i was hoping, deviated from the book more than i though it should, if you are as big a fan of the books as i am, you will probably be dissapointed by this film.

Great Movie followed the book real well but if you never watched Harry potter before you might be asking questions about the movie. They could have expanded on what they was doing more. The movie is Great a must see and IO will the DVd when it comes out. Kudos!!
