This was a bad movie, or just a couple of bad clips. To be honest, I wouldn't call this Halo, nor that any minute of those two and a half hours were Halo or had anything to do with Halo. Sure, some might say: "Well it does have Master Chief, and the Covernant. So it has to be Halo!" But that's an arguless argument right there. It's like my dad would come up to me and say: "Hey, I f*** your mom". Yea, I can't argue with that?!?
So in conclusion; This is not Halo!

Japanese anime is great. I do agree that they shouldn't have done Halo in an animated fashion though. With anime you can express so much more than your typical movie allows..and it's alot cheaper =P

To me Halo as it is isnt interesting to me in any way, I will watch the live action halo movie, dont know why but I will. Halo legends is just as Animatrix a quick Answer to some questions, however Legends just as animatrix it show you things from a different angle and animation.

I used to never liek Halo and then I played all the games in a few weeks and realized they are kick ass! So now I am a definate halo fan, but to be honest I didn't care for this I'll stick to reading the books for now untill they make a Real Halo movie. 5/10

Not bad. Good art work on each story, and the stories were good. Running the credits between each one may not have been the best of ideas, but still a good watch for Halo fans.

it was fantastic on the first and last part. The rest was ok.. but I really can't wait to watch the real HALO movie.. when will it be release any way..? again I gave this animation. 9/10 JD;) God Bless.

Hmm.. this is not you're fathers G.I. Joes cartoons but serious animes with adult theme of human frailty toward war.
These are chronicles from the origins of the series and some short stories of heroics of the franchise.
Not bad and recommended if you're into Halo genre.
Four stars.

They at least should have edited out the credits at the end of each episode and left them for the end . Other than that it wasn't too bad for an anthology.

Halo legends had Animatrix theme to it consisting of different style animes. The best ones were Origin 1 & 2, the others were sort of ok. And then there's "The Duel".. it was so bad that it could have its own genre. Why they included that garbage in the collection is beyond me.

One dude verses a Battalion, and you did not like that, well the way it was made turned me off, but that was just bad judgment on the Directors part, he should have used far better technology!
Arbiter was totally bad azz, he took down a whole Battalion with Mecha in it, damn dude had mad skills! A battalion is a military unit of around 300-1300 soldiers usually consisting of between two and seven companies and typically commanded by either a Lieutenant Colonel or Colonel.
The Covenant does not fight to defend their people, their leaders are after new weaponry, the Halo system, just like the humans are they are out to gain even more power.

I loved the Origin Parts, for some reason getting the back story always makes a movie good, it's too bad that humans only advance by going to war, so much lose is nothing but a waste!!

ok not to be racist or anything but the story ''The Duel'' Really ticked me off.. Covenant dressing up like japanese?? The main bad guy looked like a bloody samurai.. It just didnt fit in.. I lol'ed so hard when I seen the one covenant guy with the rice hat say dont you know this is a trap.
Ohh and also when I seen the covenant woman I thought of avatar.

Both of your statements are so true that it's not funny. Everyone schould be warned about XTShare's site. I really wish the modirators could do something to ban this site from ever making it's way on here. This thing has cracked thru my Mcafee and shut it down to the point I can't turn it back on, Disabled my windows firewall, and has deleted the program that allows me to close programs with the allmight "CTRL/ALT/DELETE" button. I say we burn these aholes to the ground, besides all that the movie sucked.

Nice. It was origionally episodes i think released in japan as a mini series. i think they put them all together to make this movie and try to sell it here in america. there are 9 episodes of Halo legends so far on Anilinkz.net. Spartan Leet lol awesome. i liked all the stories except the 2nd one. waay to japanese and gung ho on the japanese life style and anime. The other episodes especially the last one were a blast to see. They should deff make a 3d graphic'd version anime on the halo story. As long as they put it animimated like the last story of this. i'd watch every episode AND buy the seasons on DVD. wicked kewl graphics!! 9/10 aint bad.

This a series of short movies around the premise of the Halo platform of games. The style is very Japanese, which I think lends itself to criticism from those who only think Halo can be seen in the game quality video.. this is a style issue not substance. For those familiar with the storyline this a fun collection on par with the Animatrix. But if you are not familiar witht he universe or animation styles you will not be nearly as impressed.
