liked it. It passed the time away. It didn't take itself too seriously and it had it's moments. I like these homage to the old private .. movies. One such old film, 'The Maltese Falcon,' is one of my favorites. 3/5
wat a crap title for a film.ive skipped passed this so many times.how wrong was i.this is one funky film,a modern film with a 50s feel,not a great but a very gud 8.5/10,giv it a go,deserves more hype
This movie is something special, fabulous acting giving a bit of the 90's(roger rabbit stuff), i just loved the movie, everything about it .

they should make more movies like this it mite not be everyone's test but have a look took me months before i decided to watch but glad i did
I was pretty bored with the movie, not my type. I can see why people would enjoy it though. Has a .. tracey / roger rabbit ( with out the cartoon crap ) feel to it.. It's not bad, but I dont know maybe Im tired or something.. was boring and some stupid villians who did poor acting.. Fire face got on my damn nerves.. what a weak idiot if you ask me.
Really decent movie. The violence is controlled and nobody,but the bad guys(and gals) gets whacked. I have a weakness for a good detective novel. My daughter lives in the little town that Micky Spillane retired out to. I used to ride around when I visited to try and run in to the ole guy. Since Micky moved on to the big case up there..there havn't been that many decent detective stories around.I give it a 4.5 on a 5 scale. The actors and old cars were great. I had a friend that had a 69 Mustang just like the one in the movie.Thanks for posting this one. I definatly look out for the sequel.
The movie..I liked it..Liked his charactor and how good he and his mother got along..Looking for part 2 now if anyone has see it ?? No one died that didn't need to..
This was an okay film, Thomas Jane is an under-rated actor and I always like watching Ving Rhames in action. The stylized period wear, was a nice touch and the flow of the film was mostly on track, the last quarter of the film, dragged a bit. 3/5
This was very entertaining on so many levels.
It was a tongue in cheek tribute to alot of previously produced P.I. movies or T.V. serials
I.read all the posts before I wrote this and I cannot find anything wrong with any ONE opinion as I can see all the different tastes expressing themselves.
I personally enjoyed it and thanks to the uploader

many negatives well i watched this a couple of weeks ago here and this movie was a actually good and it keeps u entretain is not that bad if u like shoot outs etc.. this is ur movie
Why were the charachters dressed in 50,s attire and speaking like they did back then when modern cars and graffitti on walls were clear to see.i found that a bit strange.i like the narration touch..it reminded me of the comic cut scenes in the max payne video game.the villains were good but i reckon matchstick copied a certain heath ledgers charachter.i thought frankie the crooner was hillarious"turn the lights out this aint pink floyd"..again i dont think pink floyd were gigging in the 50,s.strange.was this movie ann attempt at film noir?..was this movie attempting to be funny?..i dont know but it,s worth a look even if it does baffle the brain.6/10
