This was a pretty good movie.. It's got a very interesting story that is based on true events. Brendan Fraser and Harrison Ford both did good jobs.. I think this is well worth watching.. 4/5..

Kind of schmaltzy at times, but hey, of course it's going to be. I liked Harrison Ford, he never overdoes anything, even though some people may say he underdoes it. It was very interesting going so inside the process of drug making, I almost wished there was more, but I guess that wouldn't make for a very exciting movie. I got teary eyed a couple times XD 4/5

To address some other issues. Sorry this is not a shoot em up kill everything in site, Or spy that steals secrets to further his needs. This is just a true story.
The GIANT pharmaceutical companies don't work at healing people, just minimize pains. Otherwise, they would be losing billions of dollars or go out of business altogether. Very ture but if you noticed they said that this would be a life time of treatment not a one time quick fix. Pharmaceutical companies love this .., They got you for life as long as you got the funds to pay.
Just my 2 cents.
Still a fine watch.

Perhaps they may not have picked the best cast. I loved the movie and the cast. Harrison Fords crass character is just like the real man.
Brendan Frasier showed the emotion of the real man.
They may not have been perfect, They did a fine job.
Perhaps you would like Russell Crow and William De foe.

Whenever archaeology (or mummies) are involved, both Ford and Fraser are excellent.
Anything else though is pure disaster.
I might be proven wrong some day, but not today.

I agree that this film does posses a certain "Lorenzo's Oil" felling to it or some other movie I seen just like this one. To the point that I thought that the script maybe a re-write from that movie, and maybe it is, I haven't looked into it as of late..anyways, this film really pissed me off. Most of the movie I sat there compleatly enraged at the world in general. Ever since I was little I never understood why money stood in the way of human preservation? Why not put all our efforts into putting and end to these things besides spending billions on weapons? It makes npo sense and in turn pisses me off. Good movie, watch and become as pissed at this world as I'am
