I kept putting off watching this one because .. well, Steven Segal, but it was actually good entertainment, funny, lots of action (of course) and didn't take itself too seriously.
A good watch for the genre

Hands, down, this is one of Steven Stegal's best work in a while and so far with a descent cast of support and a story tagging a great plot. There is nothing you would not like in this one. It amuses and delivers the critical element of interest with adequate action combined with thrilling bits of cast acting. A must watch if you like something meaty to go along with your bare fighting and slug shots.
Mr. Segal is notorious for never taking even one hit in any of his films up to this film. this may be due to the fact that his style is Aikido, which is a 98% defensive martial art, so i'm sure he couldn't bear to ever admit he can be hit.
till he got a co-star of big fame, DMX, who got in his licks on him.
if anyone knows of him taking a punch before this film post it!
Yes there is and i was surprised to see it myselfe a decade ago. His co-star was Damon Wayans in the movie The Glimmerman. Segal get's a hit and even bleeds in . I don't have to use the spoiler feature to tell ya what happened after that hit. lol
But yeah i agree this movie coulda been his comeback. Nowadays it kinda feels as if he's making movies just to see himself in action.

Segal took back seat and allowed (now well known actors )other people to shine
Tom Arnold was made for his role and DMX was introduced to the hollywood scene

This is one Segal movie that I own, I enjoy it that much. If you are a Segal fan this is one to watch, if not, maybe there is something else that will interest you.
One Seagal's Better movies with a decent plot and a great cast. It was good but not great Seagal to old and not in shape anymore to do stunts and you could tell used wires or used a stuntman for some of them.
I usually get burned out or bored out on some of these Segal and Jean Claude movies,but this one was pretty good. The action kicked in big time and fast. I like when the movie starts and 2 minutes inall Hell is breaking loose. There were hundreds of thousands of rounds of full auto blazing away with vehicles being blown up and a helicopter crashing and the VP was getting shot at.It pretty much stayed fast paced and exciting all the way through..Definately worth a watch.I give it 8.5 on a 10 scale.
Steven Segal in his prime, this was prolly his last good movie.. Exit Wounds is action packed of course and has a great cast of DMX, Eva Mendez, Anthony Anderson, Jill Hennessy and Tom Arnold.. The movie is worth the watch if your an action fan.. 9/10..
