Tim (Paul Rudd) is a rising executive who "succeeds" in finding the perfect guest, IRS employee Barry (Steve Carell), for his boss's monthly event, a so-called "dinner for idiots," which offers certain advantages to the exec who shows up with the biggest buffoon.
This movie was funny. Not very funny, just funny. There are movies like this where some person/disaster keeps doing and saying things that would make me want to kill it/him. In some way it annoys me when the maincharacter keeps responding in a way where I would do exactly the opposite. ''Due Date'' was a big exception because Zach Galifianakis is so hilarious that only one look at him is making me laugh. This was funny but a little annoying. 6/10
I loved the original version of this movie ( the French " diner de cons") so much that i was just curious to see the American version of it but i didn't think i would enjoyed it that much. Actually, i found that both versions are very good, with many similarities but at the same time so different. If you liked this version and have not see the original i recommend it to you,i'm sure you would enjoy it too.

I am trying to figure out why I watched this till the end. I didn't laugh once throughout the entire film. Usually I will find at least one thing to laugh about, but not with this movie.
Wasnt expecting much from an americanization of "Le dinner de con" which is an awesome french comedy. Plot somehow stayed the same but with some over the top gags. Laughed a few time but this was a pretty mediocre comedy imo.
I didnt know what to expect I planned on having some good laughs well that was stating low XD I laughed non stop today I still hurt from it. This isnt just another comey it is amazingly done Steve wow this was in my eyes your all time best. Steve was never one of my favorite actors but this gets him into the top ten for me :D
Not much to say really it had a valuble lesson to learn its just a pitty that Paul Rudd was so blind to see the answer in the beginning but if he did see it well XD than theres no movie :D
